Itinerary

Stop 1: 1 hours
St. Barnabas believed in Christianity while he was spreading it in Cyprus he was killed by unbelievers and burried in a cave udner a carob tree. his Tomb was descovered 432 years later . You will here all about it today from your guide.
Stop 2: 1 hours
The city was surrounded by walls by Lusignans. later on aditions were made during Venetians. There are many historical sights remaining from the heritages who had passed thru Cyprus. You will see many of them today whikle you take a walk in this Medieval city.
Stop 3: 0.5 hours
It was built as a cathedral and was named St. Nicholas Cathedral in 1298. When Ottomans took over in 1571 added a minaret and converted into a Mosque.
Stop 4: 0.5 hours
Once this place was known as Varosha. What happened? Are there ghosts living in now. Wait till you here the sad story from your guide.
Stop 5: 1 hours
After Famagusta we drive to the capital of the island which is known as Nicosia. The old city is also surrounded with high walls which were built during the Lusignan period.This is one of the 3 Gates to enter the walled city of Nicosia which is the capital of the island.

The column was brought by Venetians from Salamis. There was the symbol of Venetians St. Mark Lion on top of the pillar but now adays there is a globe and no lion. What happened. Who has replaced it with a globe?

ıt was built as a Cathedral by Lusignans and called St. Sophia Cathedral. Now its known as Selimiye Mosque but why????
Stop 8: 1 hours
It was built as a Kervansaray in 1572. It was used as an open prison during the English period. Now its one of the nicest historical attractions in Nicosia. Why??? Your guide will tell you all about it.....
