Tour Overview

Explore Scenic Scandinavia within 7 days. After meeting up in Oslo we will drive to Gothenburg and then visit the fairy tale city Copenhagen and see the "Little Mermaid". Next day we will head to Jönköping and have a sightseeing tour in Stockholm, crowned as the most beautiful city of all Nordic cities. The tour continues to the scenery country Norway. Visiting the largest lake of Norway, Mjøsa. Followed by the European's largest glacier, Briksdal. You will embark a cable car to admire wildlife, clear streams and raging rivers. The scenery continues at the Sognefjord Cruise, world's longest and deepest fjord ending in Flåm. Then take the beautiful railway Flåmsbana to ride along fjords, waterfalls and valleys. After the natural winter scenery we will drive you back to Oslo, and end this amazing journey with a sightseeing tour in this Nobel Prize award city, Oslo.

  • A standard twin room will be booked during the tour but a double bed can be requested as well. 1 twin room will accommodate 2 adults and 1 child (2-11 who will not receive a separate bed). If this rule does not apply and you are traveling with children, then an adult fee will be charged
  • For any odd numbered group, please choose the "SINGLE TRAVELER" option last traveler because a single room supplement fee of €75 per person per night will need to be paid. Or choose SINGLE TRAVELER SHARING, if single person is willing to share a twin room with a tour member of same age. No single supplement will be charged, once a final decision has been made, it is not possible to amend the choice later. Complaints regarding this issue will not be accepted.
  • No triple rooms will be arranged for groups of 3 due to the limited amount of triple rooms in European hotels

Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday: Oslo – Gothenburg – Copenhagen (580 km)
After meeting up in Oslo, the tour goes southbound to Gothenburg, a major port of Western Europe. On Götaplatsen is Swedish sculptor Carl Milles’ seven-metre-high statue of the sea god Poseidon, which caused quite a stir when it was unveiled in 1931. Residents complained that the statue’s legs were too long for its body, and that the statue’s penis was far too big.

Day 2: Sunday: Copenhagen – Jönköping (330 km)
The tour starts today with a sightseeing tour of Copenhagen, the capital of the Kingdom of Denmark. Reminiscent of childhood memory fairy tales, Hans Christian Andersen’s "The Little Mermaid" is the inspiration for the famous statue which was transported to the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and is a true symbol to the Danish people.

Day 3: Monday: Jönköping – Stockholm (320 km)
After breakfast, we continue our way to the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. Made out of 14 islands on the Baltic Sea this city is crowned the most beautiful of all Nordic cities. After lunch, we embark on a city tour that includes the City Hall of Stockholm (Stadshuset), one of the most beautiful and well known buildings in the world with inside the most exclusive ballroom in Stockholm, venue for the yearly Nobel Banquet. From the Blue Hall, guests are invited up a stairway to the Golden Hall (Gyllene salen) to dance. The walls of the Golden Hall are covered with more than 18 million glass and gold mosaic pieces, an artwork of artist Einar Forseth. The venue attracts close to 400,000 visitors a year.

Day 4: Tuesday: Stockholm – Lillehammer (610 km)
After breakfast, the coach departs to Norway's largest lake Mjøsa. Famous for hosting the 1994 Winter Olympics. Lillehammer’s population comes just under twenty-three thousand inhabitants. The feeling of space contributes the calm and vast natural winter scenery. We arrive in the evening and have an overnight stay at Lillehammer or city nearby. Please note we will not visit the city centre Lillehammer. Please note: for the Pink Line there is an extra charge of €10 per person per night for the accommodation. This is due to a higher living standard in Scandinavia. This is included in the price.

Day 5: Wednesday: Lillehammer – Briksdal Glacier – Sogndal (500 km)
After breakfast, we travel to the European continent’s largest Glacier, Briksdal in Norway which covers 800 m2, at its deepest 400 meters below sea level and the highest point 2,000 meters above sea level.

Day 6: Thursday: Sogndal – Sognefjord Cruise – Flåm (150 km)
After breakfast, the coach goes on to Gudvangen dock where the group joins the Sognefjord Cruise to explore Sognefjord, the world's longest and deepest fjord, an unparalleled spectacle by Mother Nature.

Day 7: Friday: Flåm – Oslo (300 km)
After breakfast, we depart to the Norwegian capital of Oslo. Every year on the 10th of December this city hosts the Nobel peace prize award on the anniversary passing of Founder-Inventor Alfred Nobel. Unlike the other four prizes awarded in Stockholm, Sweden, the Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony is held in Oslo.
