Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Ashgabat, Airport pick-up
Welcome to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. We will wait for you at the airport and then escort you to check in the hotel at downtown. Then, you could spend the rest of the day as you like. Ashgabat, popularly known as The City of White Marble aka Garden City, holds the world's highest density of white marble buildings and highest number of fountain pools in public space. After a good rest, you could go for a walk around. The city looks amazing and surreal when lit up by neon lights.

Day 2: Ashgabat highlights
After breakfast, the guide will escort you to visit Parthian Fortresses of Nisa. It was an ancient settlement founded by the Parthians in the third century BC. With remains including mausoleums and shrines, many inscribed documents, Hellenistic art works, ivory rhytons, the archeological site was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2007

Day 3: Fly to Turkmenbashi, Visit Yangikala prehistorical canyon
Today take the an-hour flight to Turkmenbashi with the guide.

Day 4: Turkmenbashi city tour, Fly to Dashoguz
This morning, we are going to explore the city center of Turkmenbashi, hang out at the local bazaar, pay a visit to the landmark train station and cross other architectural legacy such as Palace of Culture, and Eternal Flame.

Day 5: Explore Kunya-Urgench Historical Park, Drive to Darvaza
Drive to Kunya-Urgench Historical Park after breakfast. Kunya-Urgench was one of the most prosperous trade centers along the Silk Road. A series of monuments dating from the 11th to the 16th century show its outstanding achievements in architecture and craftsmanship whose influence has reached other Central Asia regions like Iran and Mogul Empire of India.

Day 6: Drive to Ashgabat and have a short visit
Today we will drive 4 hours back to Ashgabat and admire the stunning desert landscape on route. After arrival, you could take a short break at your hotel first. Then we will tour the Russian Bazaar – the oldest and largest roofed market in the country, appreciate exquisite Turkmen carpets collected in National Carpet Museum, and visit Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex to listen to the story of victims and heroes died in the wars and earthquake.

Day 7: Drive to Mary, Half day trip in Mary
Take a 4 hour's ride to Mary and visit Anau mosque ruins on the way.

Day 8: Visit Ancient Merv Historical Park, Drive to Ashgabat
Today we will go on discovering the charm of the ancient multicultural metropolitan. We will tour the Ancient Merv Historical Park and discover the remains of mausoleum, shrines, galleries, towers, citadels and fortifications at the national archeological site.
