Itinerary

Day 1: Day 1: Ayers Rock Airport to Uluru
As we depart from Ayers Rock (Uluru Airport), we join our guests in Yulara who have traveled from Alice Springs. Prior to joining the tour, guests boarding at the airport will need to arrange their own lunch. After that, it's off to the Red Centre's Aboriginal interpretive centre. This very special national park has cultural, ecological, historical, and geological significance. As we begin to comprehend the sheer size and magnificence of Uluru, we make our way towards the base, getting up close and personal to explore further. On our way to Kuniya Piti, we hear creation stories of Kuniya and Liru as we explore sacred rock art sites at Mutitjulu waterhole.  We drive around sacred sites towards Kantju Gorge, where we can admire the highest waterfall in Central Australia, an elders' cave, and the world's oldest pantry.  We retreat for panoramic views to witness one of the most amazing sunsets on the planet after exploring one of the world's most impressive rocks up close and personal.

Our day starts early in the morning as we travel into the ancient landscape and sacred grounds of the Ulpanyali and Lilla people as we explore the mighty Kings Canyon (Watarrka). The jewel in the crown of Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon) is located in the middle of the park, amidst towering 100-meter cliff faces, extraordinary views of sandstone chasms, and breathtaking backdrops that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck at the sight of it. Make sure to grab a hat, water, and sturdy shoes as we set off on foot to explore (the most seasonally appropriate part of) the canyon in more detail on foot. You will now be able to enjoy some downtime as the bus meanders its way to your destination after you have had some well-earned rest.
