Leave the city behind and be captivated by breathtaking landscapes and remarkable landmarks. As you drive through the scenic Prahova Valley, you'll be entranced by the natural beauty, all while discovering intriguing details about the region and capturing unforgettable photos of one of Europe's most photographed natural landscapes, the Carpathian Garden. Your journey will lead you to Sinaia, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Carpathians." Here, you'll visit the Royal Peleș Castle, the former residence of the Romanian Royal Family. Nestled deep in the forest, the castle offers awe-inspiring views of the mountains and is renowned as one of Romania's most exquisite palaces.
Day 2: Brasov - Sighisoara - Sibiu
Leaving the enchanting city of Brasov behind, we'll journey to Sighișoara, a UNESCO Heritage site. This medieval stronghold, perched on a hill, is the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. With its multi-level layout, towers storing ammunition and food, and preserved towers and bastions, Sighisoara is a testament to medieval times. The Citadel Square, the Church on the Hill, and the Clock Tower are all within a short walk, offering a medieval atmosphere and a rich culinary culture.
Day 3: Sibiu - Alba Iulia - Corvin Castle - Timisoara
Our next stop is Alba Iulia, one of Romania's oldest settlements, known in ancient times as Apulum. It served as a major military and economic center during the Roman occupation and is most renowned for the Great Union of Romania on December 1, 1918, unifying Transylvania with the Kingdom of Romania. Here, we'll visit the historic Alba Iulia Citadel, a significant architectural and historical landmark dating back to ancient times.
Day 4: Timisoara - Budapest
The final leg of your adventure will bring you to your desired destination in Budapest, but not before sharing intriguing insights about this remarkable European hotspot.
