Tour Overview

Day trip from Dublin to Ireland’s remote and rugged west coast to see the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Galway City. Enjoy the unique benefit of a dedicated Tour Guide and a separate Driver for the day. The Driver concentrates on your safety and the Guide on your comfort and entertainment. There is a rest stop on route to the Cliffs of Moher and upon arrival you receive a premium ticket to visit and enjoy every aspect of what the site has to offer with 2 hours visiting time. Then travel along part of the Wild Atlantic Way coast and enjoy a coastal stop in the Burren (IF WEATHER PERMITS), a unique limestone landscape famous for its flourishing plant life. Upon arriving in Galway City your Guide will offer you a free guided tour of the city, it's optional to join or just enjoy free time to wander this charismatic city yourself. On tour hear tales about Irish history, culture, stories some Irish music will be played with some guides playing their instruments on the coach.

(next to Hawksmoor Restaurant) The guide will have the manifest of passengers names and the coach will be grey in colour with a silver company logo of a dog. Departure time 7 AM. (please be there at least 10 minutes prior). - Time zone: Europe/Dublin

Please be outside one of the following points and there 15 minutes prior: • Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin, 23 Upper O'Connell Street for a 6.55 AM departure • Bus Stop, 33 College Green, Dublin 2, D02 DD76 (next to Hawksmoor Restaurant) for a 7 AM departure.

Itinerary

Stop 1:
Before arriving at the Cliffs of Moher there is and slow touring pass by opportunity to take photos of Bunratty Castle
Stop 2: 2 hours
With an arrival time at the Cliffs of Moher of just before 11am all passengers are given a ticket by their guide to enter the Visitor Centre. Take a rest break and grab a lite bite to eat before heading out for a walk along the Atlantic Ledge. Beautiful scenery along the Cliff top with abundant wildlife. Your tour guide will offer lots of information as to where to go and what to visit along the walk. Some of the best locations from where to take the best photos dependant on the seasonal changes to the sunlight. On your visit to the Cliffs of Moher you can relax in the knowledge that you will benefit from a full two hours at the site, that's 30 minutes longer than any other day tour from Dublin. While there your possessions on tour are securely locked in the coach and the same seats will be allocated for the duration of the day.
Stop 3:
From the Cliffs of Moher the tour continues onto Galway City. The route taken follows the Wild Atlantic Way which is the coastal route from County Clare into County Galway. In the event of road closure on the coastal road we will take the Cork Screw route from the Cliffs towards Galway. On this route, you will see The Burren's Unique Landscape (photo stop included IF WEATHER PERMITS) and views along The Wild Atlantic Way. The Burren is renowned for its remarkable assemblage of plants and animals, over 70% of Ireland's species of flowers are found there. The region supports Arctic–alpine and Mediterranean Basin plants side-by-side, due to the unusual environment.
Stop 4:
From the Cliffs of Moher the tour continues onto Galway City. The route taken follows the Wild Atlantic Way which is the coastal route from County Clare into County Galway. You will be travelling through the Burren National Park and during this part of the tour your guide will entertain you with music, stories of folklore, history art and culture.
Stop 5: 2 hours
Arriving in the centre of Galway City at approximately 2.30pm we park right in the middle of the city close to Eyre Square. Your tour guide offers all passengers a complimentary walking tour of the Galway which typically takes around minutes. Visiting places such as Spanish Arch and Lynch's Castle, the walking tour is a very popular addition to the itinerary, particularly as the centre of Galway is pedestrianised. The walking tour is optional, many passengers prefer to spend their time in Galway at their own discretion. The place has a wonderful musical and vibrant reputation. Lots of craft shops, small family stores and numerous little artisan cafes. Why not enjoy local fish and chips fresh from the Atlantic at a local food venue. Your guide is there to direct and help. Overnighting in Galway is possible. Depending upon availability a free return seat to Dublin can be requested for another day. Rest stops included on route to the Cliffs and back to Dublin- no bathrooms on board.
