Be inspired by Scottish myths and legends as we drive from Inverness to Loch Ness and get the chance to ride on the world-famous Jacobite Steam Train. From romantic castles to cascading waterfalls and the famous Eilean Donan castle: every part of this journey uncovers a little more of Scotland’s unique heritage.

Itinerary

Day 1: Portree to Inverness
We make a photo stop at Loch Ness with views of the 13th century Urquhart Castle, now derelict.

Overnight in Portree, B&B accommodation

Day 2: Portree to Portree
We stop to take in the natural beauty of the fairy pools. The crystal-clear waters will take your breath away. Your guide will tell you stories about the folklore of the island, and the fairy stories which bring the island to life.

We stop at the most photographed castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan. Eilean Donan Castle has links to both clans MacKenzie and MacRae. Pay entrance on arrival.
