Stop 1: 0.5 hours
Join me for an extraordinary culinary journey through charming Gdansk! Led by a passionate guide, this adventure promises an unforgettable experience. See Gdansk through the eyes of a local and discover its hidden gems! You will visit a variety of places, from cozy family-owned eateries to bustling local bars, that reflect the essence of Polish food culture. This food tour is more than just a feast for the senses; it's a journey into the heart of Polish traditions. As you savor each delicious bite, your guide will share captivating stories, personal anecdotes, and fascinating insights into the traditions and customs shaping Polish culinary heritage. We will see Brama Wyżynna, from where we will proceed to a medieval prison with dungeons and then pass through the spectacular Golden Gate.
Stop 3: 0.1 hours
We will see the second-largest armory in Europe.
Stop 4: 0.1 hours
We will see Dom Uphagena, a historic townhouse that now serves as a museum showcasing 18th-century bourgeois interiors and lifestyle.
Stop 5: 0.1 hours
Next, we will see the Old Town Hall with St. Mary's Basilica in the background.
Stop 6: 0.8 hours
We will stop for a moment at Długi Targ, where I will tell you about Neptune and the Artus Court, in the cellars of which we will enjoy our delicious starter.
Stop 7: 0.3 hours
We will visit a Polish pub styled after the PRL era. We’ll discuss the communist period in Poland and the Solidarity movement, which was a major labor and political movement that played a crucial role in the fight for freedom and democracy in the 1980s. We will also try some local flavored vodkas.
Stop 8: 0.1 hours
Next, we will visit the monument to Daniel Fahrenheit, who was born right here in Gdańsk, and then continue our tour towards the Green Gate.
Stop 9: 0.1 hours
Our next stop will be Granary Island, one of the most expensive and exclusive districts in Poland, where you can find the most luxurious apartments.
Stop 10: 0.8 hours
Continuing our tour, we will see the famous Gdańsk Crane and then head to a restaurant where we will enjoy a main course of exquisite game dishes, along with the finest Polish specialties and desserts.
