Tour Overview

This one week long expedition developed to bring 'accessible proximity' to the prominent Dja and Ngoyla Faunal Reserves for you. Both reserves are considered to be true wildernesses, far away from modern civilization. The expedition starts in the Ngoyla Faunal Reserve with two-days long wildlife spotting; and then continues in the Dja Faunal Reserve targeting its inhabitants and natural wonders. Our guests will get to know the Baka pygmies' traditional life, meet wildlife up close, and climb above the luxuriant green rainforest on Petit Rocher rock cathedral. Well experienced rangers will secure our campsites during the nights that will be spent in the forest, so no extra skills would be required, beyond courage... The difficulty of the expedition is moderate; however, perseverance is required to complete the 7-days of this amazing adventure.

Itinerary

Day 1: Yaoundé - Ngoyla Faunal Reserve
We will depart from Yaoundé early in the morning. Our first stop will be the 'Sacred Forest' of the Baka people. It is a special place; every visitor must leave all bad things behind in physical reality (which can injure others), and all bad things from their hearts. According to the Bakaa beliefs the sacred forest is a forbidden place for bad spirits, and it cleans our heart. Our arrival to the Ngoyla Faunal Reserve is due to late afternoon.
