Tour Overview

Our guide has 26 years of personally guiding tours to this exact location. Our menu is a 5-star menu like no other backcountry camping trip. Our activities (Native-style sauna, astronomy lesson, telescope) are not offered by any other backcountry company in Algonquin Park. Our guide has 22 years of teaching English to international student in an academic institute.

Go to Canoe Lake, Algonquin Park. Wait outside the registration office front door for our staff to meet you. - Time zone: America/Toronto

Must arrive with confirmation/invoice on paper or phone. Please show your confirmation/invoice to the driver/staff/guide when you meet them.

Itinerary

Day 1: Intro, Load Gear, Paddle Lesson, Paddle & Portage & Paddle to the Campsite.
Our accredited guide will give you paddling /safety instructions and guide you on a 3 hour canoe/portage ride deep into Algonquin wilderness to the campsite. Two hours before your arrival, other guides will come and make your tents and fill your airbeds and leaves so all you need to do is put your backpack in and begin your adventure. .

Isolated campsite on river edge w/ amazing view. Large spacious tent for 3-4 people with air beds and warm sleeping bag

Dinner: Late night snack. Salmon grilled w/pita on a campfire. Sausages roasted on skewers. Marsh mellows.

Lunch: Spaghetti Bolognese with parsley, parmesan, melted mozzarella, garlic bread and fresh salad

Day 2: Full day of exploring, adventures, searching for wildlife, and exciting activities
8:00 AM deluxe breakfast and a canoe tour at 9:00 AM searching small inlets and narrow winding rivers searching for wildlife and finally to a natural beaver lodge and dam. Return to the campsite for an incredible Montreal smoked meat sub lunch with cheesecake dessert.

We'll stay on the same campsite for all nights to eliminate the time to take down the tents, relocate, and set up again

Breakfast:

Lunch: Jumbo Montreal smoked meat sub with dessert.

Dinner: BBQ rib steaks, jumbo shrimp, bison/deer...

Day 3: Paddling Wildlife Search through 4 lakes connected by narrow rivers
After a deluxe breakfast, we will head out for a full day of paddling and hiking in search of wildlife (moose, beavers, loons, herons, etc). We will search 4 small lakes connected by narrow rivers and inlets. Our goal is to find moose. We will bring our lunch for a picnic in our canoes on a beaver pond.

We will remain on the same campsite to maximize our exploration and wildlife search time.

Breakfast: (Smoked salmon, croissants, prosciutto, cream cheese ...)

Lunch: Mexican chili (not spicy), w/ grilled pita, melted cheese & dessert

Dinner: BBQ short ribs in terriaki, wild rice w/spices, grilled vegetables

Day 4: Sunrise Tour
An optional sunrise tour. Watch the sunrise on a calm lake with a cup of hot chocolate
