Mount Cameroon is an active volcano in the South West region of Cameroon next to the city of Buea near the Gulf of Guinea. Mount Cameroon is also known as Cameroon Mountain or Fako or by its indigenous name Mongo. A visit to the summit will provide you with an outstanding hiking experience. Itinerary

Day 1: Douala – Buea
Arrival at the Douala International Airport at received by Global Bush representative and drive to Buea. Upon arrival, visit the univsesity of Buea, the reunification monument, the gerpost post office and leater check in hotel Eta palace for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Buea – Mount Cameroon Hut 2
Early morning after breakfast pick up for drive to the office for registration and continue to Upper farms (1,010 m) to begin the hike. We start hiking for about 3-4 hours inside the rainforest and arrive at Hut 1 (1,830 m). It is one of the largest Huts and a spring provides fresh drinking water thus permitting you to cross hectares of sugar cane plantation. While in Hut 1 We shall have a brief rest while having launch. Start off and hike for 4-5 hours through the savannah to Hut 2 (2,780m altitude) , here there is no water. From Hut 1 to Hut 2, the trail is continuously steep and rocky. We shall camp this Hut for our first night up mount Cameroon.

Day 3: Hut 2 to man spring mount cameroon
Early in the morning after breakfast, we depart from Hut 2 to Hut 3. The climb is a little steep and could take about 4-5 hours hiking to Hut 3 (3,950 m) where we will have a rest. We shall continue till we get to the summit (4,095 m). We shall stay at the summit for 10 minutes while taking photographs. After we shall descend on the other trail until we arrive Mann’s spring on a gentle walk. This trail is almost level and less strenuous. This could take about 6 hours to arrive at Mann’s spring. On the way, we shall visit the old and new Craters and continue trekking through the Savannah until we get to Mann’s spring (2,260 m). There is a spring with fresh water to cool down your body heat; we shall camp for the second night here.

Day 4: Mann’s spring – Bokwango – Buea - Limbe
Take off early in the morning from Mann’s spring passing through the savannah, old lava flows and the rainforest before arriving Bokwango Village. The trek could take about 5 hours to complete our trip. From Bokwango, we drive to the office to obtain our Certificates, Continue drive to Limbe passing through the Tole Tea Plantation. Upon arrival, leisure activities and dinner, then drive to Seme beach hotel for overnight.

Day 5: Limbe – Bimbia - Douala
After breakfast in the morning, relax on the beach while enjoying the glorious African sun. Later in the afaternoon after launch, depart for the Slaves route at Bimbia and visit the site of the old slave trading port where you can learn about the colonial times, where slaves were assembled for exportation to Europe and America during the slave trading period. Relax in down beach and drive back to Douala for overnight. InHotel bano palace.

Day 6: Douala – Eom-Nkam - Douala
After breakfast, pick up from the hotel and depart to visit the Ekom – Nkam waterfall in Melong, about 80 m. high which has served as a decor in a certain Film scenes, Tarzan. Stop over at the Ekom waterfalls, get down to where all the traditional rites are done and part take .Launch and drive back to Douala for dinner and night at Bano palace.

Day 7: Douala - airport
after breakfast, visit the liberty monoment, the train station, and the craft markrt to buy suvernies. Lunch and later transfer to the airport
