Itinerary

Day 1: Introduction to kayaking in Stockholm archipelago
You either arrive to Stockholm in the morning or you wake up at your hotel for a nice breakfast. At around 9.30 you begin your journey from Stockholm city by car, cab or public transport out to the Kayak Center at Stavsnäs, Värmdö. The bus departs from Slussen bus terminal, takes about 60 minutes and cost about 4 EUR.

With the tent, sleeping bag and sleeping mat provided, you let the sound of the wind and waves put you to sleep

Day 2: Discovery Day
Discovery day! After a lazy morning with breakfast and perhaps a morning swim (a “Swedish classic”), you sit and plan the day with the map. There are some different alternatives given by the guide and you can choose to just stay where you are and have a sunny day on the cliffs or pack-up and continue the discovery of new islands along the suggested route. It feels comforting to have a suggested route to follow, yet the freedom to do as you please and go where you want.

With the tent, sleeping bag and sleeping mat provided, you let the sound of the wind and waves put you to sleep

Day 3: Returning to civilization
Another beautiful morning out on the islands. After yesterday you feel like you start to get the hang of things. Packing the kayaks goes faster than before and you know where you have everything. During the days kayaking, you stop for a long lunch on an island, and for an afternoon swim and a cup of coffee.
