Itinerary

Day 1: Krakow
Arrival early in the morning. Rest a little. Departure to Lagiewniki, which is the capital of Divine Mercy where Christ himself wanted to pass on to our generation, through the mediation of Saint Faustina. The Sanctuary houses gracious images of the Merciful Jesus and the relics of Saint Faustina. Visit the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, the chapel of the convent of Santa Faustina and its tomb. See Blessed Pope John Paul II's displayed relic, where his robe contains the blood stain from when he was shot in 1981. Departure to Wadowice, birthplace of Karol Wojtyla. Visit the church he should have attended and was baptized as a child. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 2: Wieliczka
After breakfast, take a tour of the Royal Wawel Castle. Then, descend into the underground chambers of the Wieliczka Salt Mines for an unparalleled stroll through the medieval galleries and corridors carved out of rocks and salt deposits. Dinner and overnight in Krakow

Day 3: Krakow
After breakfast, departure for Auschwitz where you will visit the impressive Holocaust Memorial. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 4: Zakopane
After breakfast, travel to Zakopane. Visit the resort village situated in the splendor of the Tatras region. Hike one of John Paul II's hiking trails in the Zakopane region, beautifully situated in the Tatras Mountains, in the valley between Gubalowka and Giewont. Admire the picturesque landscapes of the highest mountains in Poland and visit the Chapel of St. Brother Albert, founder of the Order of the Albertines. Take a short walk along colorful Krupowki Street for some last-minute shopping at the local bazaar. Visit the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora de Fátima. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 5: Warsaw
After breakfast, take a bus north to Czestochowa in Jasna Góra. Visit Our Lady of Czestochowa, the largest pilgrimage sanctuary in Poland, where mass will take place. Then departure for Warsaw. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

Day 6: Warsaw
After breakfast, the mass will be in the Church of St. James, the church of St. Faustina when she arrived in Warsaw. Pass the infamous Warsaw Ghetto area, along the Royal Route with its aristocratic mansions, and see the Old Town and the Royal Castle. Stroll through the perfectly rebuilt Old Town so that the houses still rest on each other as if they have aged. Charming cafes surround the central square; sit back and watch the world go by surrounded by multicolored buildings, imagining life here before the Second World War. Visit the Royal Castle, another reconstruction, but with much of the original furniture, which has been saved. Opposite is the large Praça do Castelo, used for speeches and by local skaters, artists etc. See the Zymunt Column, an original 17th century memorial to a Polish king, and walk along the Royal Route that becomes Nowy Swiat. This is the main shopping street and also has charming cafés. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw

Day 7: Warsaw
Visit the Warsaw Uprising Museum. The modern interactive museum has exhibits that clearly show the damage and suffering during the Nazi occupation. Walking through the area that was the Warsaw Ghetto, there is still evidence of damage to the buildings. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

Day 8: Gadnsk
On the way to Gdansk, stop at Torun, which is known as the city of Copernicus and Gingerbread. It is a UNESCO world heritage site. This charming historic city abounds with original Gothic structures that have survived countless wars and invasions, including a magnificent city hall, medieval walls and the Polish Leaning Tower of Pisa. Dinner and overnight in Gdansk.

Day 9: Gadnsk
After breakfast, visit the Golden Gate which is a 17th century Gothic gate and the most decorative monument in the whole area. Visit the Church of Santa Maria, one of the largest churches in Poland, with a capacity for 25,000 people. Stop for lunch and free time to visit the City Hall. It contains artifacts from medieval times and is the gateway to the most beautiful area of Gdansk, Dlugi Targ Street. Dinner and overnight in Gdansk.
