Itinerary

Day 1: July 9: Terelj National Park & Horse riding
Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel and we will drive to Terelj National Park; a beautiful landscape with unique Rocky Mountains and rivers. You will saddle up on Mongolia pony horse for a short ride an hour over the hill and steppe (1 hour). Also, visit Turtle Rock; interesting natural rock formation looking like a turtle and hike to Ariyapala Meditation Temple (20-30 minutes) crossing the short trail bridge to 108 stairs.

Day 2: July 10: Genghis Khan Statue Complex
Today we will return to Ulaanbaatar via Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex. Visit the museum and try Mongolian traditional warrior/queen costume (this will be the best photo memory of Mongolia trip). Hold an Eagle for a photo opportunity. Once in Ulaanbaatar, we will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 3: July 11: Naadam Festival (Day 1) - Horse Racing
This morning, we will drive an hour to Khui Doloon Khudag, the horse racing field of the Naadam Festival. Here, you will witness the excitement of Mongolia’s traditional horse races, where young riders skillfully race bareback on 150-200 horses from all corners of the country. The field is alive with energy, offering a unique opportunity to photograph local horse trainers, people in traditional attire, and the vibrant festival atmosphere. After that, we will drive to the Central Stadium to watch the wrestling competition and immerse ourselves further in the Naadam celebrations.

Day 4: July 12: Naadam Festival (Day 2) - Wrestling and Archery Spectacle
Today, we will dive into the ancient sport of Mongolian wrestling. Watch the wrestlers show off their strength and skill in exciting matches. You will also see the special rituals that make this sport even more interesting. After that, we’ll head to the archery range to see how skilled Mongolian archers are. Watch as they aim and hit targets with their traditional bows and arrows. This archery competition will give you a sense of Mongolia's rich history in warfare.
