Tour Overview

This sailing trip is perfect for people who love being active and outdoors. Your daily activities will include sailing, hiking, cycling, paddle boarding, swimming and snorkeling. Daily activities are fun and not too demanding. You will explore the  Peljesac and Elaphiti shorelines and Mljet Island; full of unique cliffs, caves, coves, rocks, beaches and pine forests. The trip is based in the Dubrovnik area, leaving time to visit and explore this famous walled town.

  • Check in at 3 pm on Day 1. Boarding on Day 2 is 10 am for Saturday, Sunday and Monday departures, 2 pm for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday departures.
  • We sail when the weather and itinerary allow it. Sailing is our preferred mode of transfer, and our skippers are very experienced, but sometimes a choice needs to be made between getting somewhere in time for a meal or sightseeing or raising the sails and turning off the motor.
  • This itinerary and the duration of the activities are subject to change due to group abilities and preferences, weather conditions and forecasts, water levels, special events of interest, etc. Huck Finn guides and trip leaders will do their utmost to ensure the best possible experience for their clients without compromising safety at any time. This may mean changing the original itinerary to avoid discomfort or risk which could be caused by exceptional situations. Huck Finn reserves the right to alter the itinerary without prior notice.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Destination - Komolac
Arrival in Komolac (Dubrovnik) and check into your accommodation. Conveniently located and a 15-20 minute ride from Dubrovnik, Komolac is a great base for the first night of your cruise. Visit Dubrovnik, explore the surrounding area by bike, or canoe one of the world’s shortest rivers, the Ombla.

Guesthouse

Day 2: Boarding, Kolocep Island SUP, swimming, sailing to Lopud and Sipan Islands
Boarding at 10 am for Saturday, Sunday and Monday departures, and 2 pm for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday departures. We sail toward the island of Kolocep where we stop for a swimming break. You will also have a chance to try out paddleboards before stopping for lunch in one of the best fish restaurants of Dubrovnik area. In the afternoon we sail past Lopud island to anchor for the night in a beautiful bay on Sipan island.

Day 3: Sailing to Mljet Island and Peljesac Peninsula
Our next stop is Mljet Island National Park, a perfect place for activities such as sea kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, cycling and swimming. Entrance fee to the national park is not included in our price, but can be paid on spot. A lush pine forest hides two saltwater lakes. You can cycle from our mooring to the lakes and time permitting take a boat to the small island on larger of the lakes and, time permitting, visit an abandoned monastery built in the 13th century. Later in the afternoon we sail to the Zuljana Bay on Peljesac peninsula where we will spend the night.

Day 4: Peljesac Peninsula paddleboarding, swimming, snorkeling and sightseeing
We spend the morning paddle boarding, swimming and snorkeling in the quiet Zuljana bay before we sail east towards Broce and Ston. The town’s stone walls are 5 km (3 mi) long and were built to protect salt production at a time when salt was an important export product of Dubrovnik Republic. You can walk around the walls that connects Ston and Mali Ston (Little Ston), famous for its oyster farms. Peljesac is also one of the best Croatian wine making regions, famous for its red wines. You will sail by the vineyards perched on the steep southern slopes of the peninsula, and do not miss the chance to try those wines. In the afternoon we return to a quiet bay or, depending on the weather, Luka Sipanska for the night.

Day 5: Elaphiti Islands sailing, departure.
On our way back to Komolac, we sail by the green Elaphiti Islands. Disembark around noon for Saturday and Sunday departures and 4 pm for Tuesday and Wednesday departures. We invite you to spend some time in Komolac, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to the airport or your next destination. If you are visiting some new places in Croatia feel free to ask your guides for recommendations. They know all the best places, and can point you to some that are less popular, but nevertheless beautiful.
