Tour Overview

Gray whale watching in Magdalena Bay is a unique opportunity for seeing these animals in their natural environment. There's no other place on this planet where Gray Whales can be experienced as in Lopez Mateos! A part of the encounter with the animal, the surrounding bay is still an untouched piece of land worthy of being discovered: mangroves and sand dunes are home to over 200 different species of birds. This is a great 2-day excursion for real adventurous nature lovers.

Itinerary

Day 1: From Cabo to Magdalena Bay and Whale Watching Tour 1
Your 2-day adventure tour begins in Cabo San Lucas. From there, you'll head five hours north to Lopez Mateos, a small town home to a community of fishermen. Every year, between December and March, the town turns into a sanctuary where gray whales find protection in this bay surrounded by sand dunes and mangroves. The area is also home to many different species of migrating birds. During your experience, you'll learn why gray whales mainly use this location as a breeding ground to give birth and nurture their calves. This is the only tour in Baja designed as a multiple day excursion to provide enough time to really enjoy nature, the local area and people, and great sea food. You'll spend the night in a cozy family-run bed and breakfast, and enjoy two incredible tours in the bay to meet the gray whales. Included in the tour is transportation, two whale-watching tours, food, and accommodation.

We will spend the night in a cozy family run bad&breakfast. Hot showers and internet connection available.

Lunch: Delicious fish&shrimp tacos. But we have vegetarian alternatives and also chicken and meet if fish is not your favorite

Dinner: Fresh fish and lobster accompanied by white wine will be the last thing before we hit bed. Alternative meals available.

Day 2: Whale Watching Tour 2 and back to Cabo San Lucas
Gray whale watching tour number 2. This trip start early: the day before we had the sunset today we're there just right after the sunrise. These are the best times for the best encounters: again we will ride the bay between mangroves and sand dunes looking for the best possible whale-human interactions.

No accommodation provided

Breakfast: Continental Breakfast

Lunch: Fish&Shrimp tacos and quesadillas. Other options available
