Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Vagar Airport
Arrive at Vágar Airport and transfer to the capital of Tórshavn, Discover a small and cosy capital! Tórshavn is one of the world’s smallest capitals, beautifully situated at the foot of the surrounding mountains and with a panoramic view of the island of Nólsoy.

Day 2: Full day tour to Strendur Snældan and Kirkjubøur
Visit Strendur, the largest town on Skálafjørður fjord, Eysturoy island. Explore Eysturoyartunnilin, the Faroe Islands' longest underwater tunnel with a unique roundabout. At Strendur's entrance, visit Snældan, a local Faroese yarn company, for knitwear and yarn. Drive through Skálafjørð, over the Sundalagið tunnel, and walk the bridge from Eysturoy to Streymoy. Continue to Kollafjørður, Streymoy's longest village. End in Tórshavn, exploring its old part, and visit Kirkjubø, Streymoy's southernmost village. See Magnus Cathedral ruins, Saint Olav's Church, and the historic Kirkjubøargarður farmhouse

Day 3: Full day tour to Æðuvík, Navia, Gøta and Fuglafjørð
Start with a drive through the sub-sea tunnel between Tórshavn and Runavík, ensuring to take the correct exit from the roundabout. First stop: Æðuvík village, famous for its seaside proximity and year-round sunrise views. Visit nearby windmills for panoramic views of the Faroe Islands. In Toftir, explore Navia's large shop for local yarn and sweaters. Visit Gøta, comprising Syðrugøta (known for the G! festival on the beach), Gøtugjógv (with a magnificent church featuring Tróndur Patursson's glass windows), and Norðagøta (preserving the old town and a statue of saga figure Tróndur í Gøtu). Conclude in Fuglafjørður, a major fishing town with a cozy café and the unique Fjord souvenir shop. Pickup from 09:00, starting at Hotel Føroyar, followed by other hotels

Day 4: Full day tour to Hvalvik Streymnes and Eidi
En route north, witness the historic Við Áir whaling station, established in 1905 by Chr. Salvesen & Co., and the last of its kind in the Northern Hemisphere. Enjoy a scenic walk from Streymnes to Hvalvík, featuring the Faroe Islands' oldest wooden church. Visit Eiði, a picturesque village on northern Eysturoy Island, home to a unique football stadium by the Atlantic Ocean. Near Eiði, enjoy views of the iconic sea stacks Risin & Kellingin.

Day 5: Full day tour to the Northern part of Streymoy and Eysturoy
Travel through Sundalagið to Hvalvík, then to the stunning Saksunardalur valley leading to Saksun. Explore the picturesque village, the church from Tjørnuvík, and the historic farmhouse Dúvugarðar. Photo stop at Fossá waterfall (10 min). At Eiði viewpoint, enjoy a 15-min break with restroom facilities. Brief 5-min stop at Risin and Kellingin sea stacks. Drive past Slættaratindur mountain towards Gjógv to see its unique gorge and traditional village. Enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic spot. Visit Elduvík, a quaint village on Eysturoy Island, for 20 minutes. Explore Oyndarfjørður, one of the oldest Faroese settlements, and see the Rinkusteinarnir rocks (20 min). Conclude with photo stops en route back to Tórshavn

Day 6: Tour to the northern islands and Tjørnuvík
Pick up begins at 09:00 from Hotel Føroyar, followed by other hotels. Visit Viðareiði, the northernmost village in the Faroe Islands, on Viðoy island. Travel to Klaksvík, the fishing capital, to sample Faroese Fish and Chips at a local bakery. Proceed to Gjógv to explore the spectacular gorge, and then to Tjørnuvík for stunning views of Risin and Kellingin.
