Just try to imagine a wild landscape dotted with sand dunes, jagged sandstone formations of the most bizarre shapes, rock arches and hidden caves and you have begun to understand. Now imagine also such an incredible place with practically no tourism. We are in the Ennedi the last Saharan paradise, yet to be explored.

Itinerary

Day 1: N'djamena arrival and transfer to the hotel

Day 2: N'djamena -Massaguet -Massakori
Once in Massakori you leave the asphalt to continue on one of the numerous parallel tracks along the ancient fossil river, numerous villages along the way

Day 3: moussouro -Bathandjenna
In the early morning we arrive in Moussouro, stop for refueling and food before continuing on the track that leads to the Bathandjenna wells

Day 4: Bathandjenna -Kalait
continue through the magnificent desert landscape of the Batha region. Here at the latest the saying of the "living desert" is confirmed: the gazelles continue to appear not far from the convoy and seem to call the vehicles for a race on the dunes. In the evening we arrive at the gates of Kalait.

Day 5: Kalait Guelta by Bachikelè
The day begins after breakfast with a short visit to Kalait While your drivers refuel the vehicles and prepare them for the next trip to the Ennedi massif, you have time to visit the small local market. We finally enter the Ennedi region in the evening we will arrive at the beautiful Bachikelè Guelta

Day 6: Bakelelé Guelta - Big Arch of Aloba - Guelta di Archei
Visit the great arch of Aloba and then continue to the Guelta d'Archei, one of the most famous pools of water in the Sahara, you will meet the Toubou nomads who dip their large herds of camels here. Precious water is fed from a huge underground tank into the Nubian sandstone. With a little luck, you can see some of the last Sahara crocodiles here. In addition to the "Mountains of Madness", there are also a large number of prehistoric rock paintings by Terkei and Manda Gueli, which make the region so unique and are silent witnesses of a settlement history dating back thousands of years.

Day 7: Archei -visit of Guelta - Kalait
In the morning optional trekking to observe - if possible - the last Saharan crocodiles that still inhabit the Guelta. after lunch we go back to the track towards kalait. OPTION: Extension of Ounianga lakes Continue in the region until you reach the beautiful Abaikè sandstone formations

Day 8: Kalait -Abechè
When you leave the Sahara, you are greeted by the growing vegetation of the Sahel. Around noon you will reach Abeche, the capital of the Wadai region. Chad's fourth largest city was once an important commercial center and was the centerpiece of many caravans for centuries. After the off-road races of the last few days, a well-developed asphalt road awaits you from Abeche Bivouac after the city of Abechè

Day 9: Abechè -Mongo
We head towards the mountainous region of Guera. Again and again bizarre rock monoliths rise to the left and right of the path, which once served as a refuge for the Hadjerai who lived here. The Hadjerai are an ethnic group that has established a sophisticated economic system as farmers and hunters and continues to supply the markets with everyday goods in many places. Day 10: Mongo N'djamena
We leave the beautiful Guera region to return to N'djamena in the afternoon. Return to the hotel, the day use room is provided for customers who have the flight in the evening or the full night at the hotel for those who have the return flight the next morning
