If you are looking for a winter break and experience the snow in the mountains you have just found the perfect holidays for! We will take you to the High Tatras mountains, where you can go hiking in the snow, do winter sports and enjoy a unique winter break . You can also go Aqua City, where the swimming pools have natural hot mineral water and an amazing wellness centre to turn your trip into a dream! The minimum number of tourists for our tours is 2 people. The prices on the website are per person for a group of 2 people. For groups of 3 to 4 or more, we will negotiate a discount based on how many people would like to join our tours. Please contact us for further information on groups of more than 2 people.

Itinerary

Day 1: Day 1: Kosice
Today we will collect you from Kosice airport and spend the morning there. The first registers of Kosice date from 1230 when it was known as Villa Cassa. Kosice is the biggest city of East Slovakia. In 2013 it was the European capital of culture together with Marseille, France. The city centre of Kosice is really well preserved. There visitors can see buildings in Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Art Nouveau styles. The biggest church of Slovakia is also located here, St. Elisabeth Cathedral. If you feel adventurous, you can climb the cathedral tower and enjoy a beautiful view of Kosice. In the city centre tourists can enjoy drinks and meals at bars, cafes, restaurants or go to boutiques and museums, among them Kosice Gold Treasure Museum. During medieval times, these buildings were merchants and aristocrats houses. In the centre of the square, locals and tourists can visit the Theatre, with presentations of ballet, opera and plays. Kosice is also the home of the oldest marathon in Europe and the second oldest in the world. After visting Kosice city centre, we will head to Poprad.

Day 2: High Tatras National Park
Today we will visit Strbske Pleso and Hrebienok in the High Tatras mountains. The High Tatras is situated in the north of Slovakia, shared partly with Poland. The High Tatras are the only mountains of Alpine type in the whole Carpathian Mountain range, and it is often called "the smallest alpine mountains in Europe". There are about 600 km of marked tourist trails in the territory of the High Tatras that take tourists to the most attractive places of this mountain region. Tourist can find trails leading through valleys, ascents to Tatra chalets, trails to the most beautiful mountain lakes and a fascinating world of animals and plants. The High Tatras are ideal for all tourists. In Strbske Pleso tourists can try cross country and downhill skiing, hike in the snow, as well as adventuring themselves on a snowmobile ride. In the evening we will take you to Hrebienok to see the ice church, ice sculptures and on the way back you can choose to go downhill sledging if you want to have a bit of adventure.

Day 3: Belianske Tatras National Park
Ždiar is a typical Goral community situated between the mountains of Belianske Tatry and Spišská Magura. It is famous for its folk traditions and particular wooden houses. The houses were built in an old style with colourful window frames, blue logs along their walls, and other logs painted with different ornaments. On special festivals, the villagers put on their folk costumes and do beautiful presentations. In Ždiar tourists can opt to do a tree top walk, where they walk on a route that stands on more than 600 metres from the ground and goes through the forest. One of the highlights of the walk is the view from its 32 meter high observation tower. In the evning, you can go to Aqua City, where the swimming pools have natural hot mineral water and an amazing wellness centre to turn your trip into a dream!

Day 4: Day 4 Poprad and returning back to Kosice
Today you will have the morning for yourself to enjoy Poprad. In Poprad visitors can find cafes, restarurants, a shopping centre and the beautiful medieval part of the city - Spisska Sobota, where you can see the typical merchant houses of that time with their unique roofs. In the afternoon we will pick you up at your accommodation and drop you off at Kosice Airport.
