Tour Overview

Embark on a 13 days adventure trekking in the equatorial rainforest South-Cameroon. You will have a chance to discover gorillas or the chimpanzee dispute the forest with the pygmies, considered as the oldest inhabitants of Cameroon. In the giant equatorial forest live the Pygmies Bakas, musicians in the soul. Immerse yourself in the universe of these little men who will perform for you their ritual dance Buma which describes their life among the animals of the forest. You will have the opportunity to participate in their village activities.

Day 1: Day 01-Arrive in Yaounde
Upon arrival at International Airport. You will be welcomed by our Tours Staff. Once you have cleared customs formalities, our Guide will smooth through the rest of the arrivals process – currency exchange. Transferred to the hotel for overnight

Day 2: Day 02-YAOUNDE-AYOS-ABONG BANG-LOMIE
Departure from Yaoundé in the morning to Lomié via Ayos and Abang Bang or the trip is a beautiful discovery of the Equatorial forest. Arrival in Lomié, installation in Raphia Hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 3: Day 03-LOMIE-CAMPING PYGMEE
After breakfast, drive to the village of Pygmies. Arrival at the pygmies. Installation, lunch. Discovery and participation in the various activities that punctuate the daily life of these men, first inhabitants of the equatorial forest; initiation to hunting, fishing, gathering, traditional medicinal. Cultural evening, they will perform their dances. You will tell tales and legends of the forest, around the fire. Dinner and overnight in tents. Total immersion in nature

Day 4: Day 04 -CAMPEMENT PYGMEE 1
Day of activities with the Pygmies in the heart of the primary forest: hiking in the forest and picking various forest fruits, net hunting, picking medicinal plants, local fishing and harvesting honey and other activities. Back to the camp, dinner and evening around the wood fire ritual dance Buma Pygmy with tales. Night in a tent at the pygmy camp

Wake up early with animal cries and birdsong. Displacement (the opportunity to go trekking, hiking and discovery in the forest, observation of fauna and flora) of the first camp to move to another village still in the Pygmy zone to spend two nights, so days 6 and 7. Traditional ignition of the fire, palm wine picking. Bakas traditional dances show. Dinner and overnight at pygmy camp

Day 7: Day 07-CAMPEMENT PYGMEE 2
Wake up early with animal cries and birdsong. Wake up early, breakfast and departure for Lobéké by Lomié. Arrival Mambélé.Installation camp Kombo. Dinner and night.

Day 9: Day 09-MAMBELE-LOBEKE
Early wake-up call, breakfast and departure for Lobéké National Park; 4 km by car and 6 km of trekking in the forest. Arrival and installation at the camp; Departure for the mirador n 1 (small savannah) to observe the animals: lowland gorillas, monkeys, forest elephants, various birds; parrots, green pigeons. Dinner and overnight in tents.

Wake up early and breakfast. Animal watching day on the watchtower. Back to camp. Dinner and overnight in tents

Breakfast. Departure for the second mirador (Djangui). Arrival and installation at the camp. Lunch, departure for the watchtower and observation of animals: gorillas, buffaloes, elephants, Bongos, chimpanzees, monkeys and a multitude of birds. Back to camp. Dinner and overnight in tents

Wake up early, breakfast. Departure Mambélé and continuation for Yaoundé by Yokadouma. Night on the way
