Day 1: Transfer from Bratislava. Visit Čičmany unique village and Orava castle.

The unique and characteristic element of log houses in Čičmany are their exteriors ornamented in geometrical pattern. The authors of ornaments, as rule, were women who originally adorned only the corners of houses first with mud and later with lime. The painting was intended to protect the logs against the effect of sunrays. Geometrical ornamentation was also used in embroidery applied to garments, pictures or tablecloths. The Reserve counts 136 houses.

Overnight in Bojnice with breakfast next morning

Day 2: Bojnice castle and Banska Stiavnica, UNESCO heritage

We’ll visit one of the nicest castles in Slovakia, castle in Bojnice. National Geographic Travel included this castle into TOP 10 European castles. We’ll visit one of the most beautiful Slovak and European castles – Bojnice Castle with its look like from a fairytale. This castle belongs to the most visited and the most beautiful castles not only in Slovakia. The most famous noble families owned the castle and the last of them was the family of Pálfi. The part of the tour is a visit of stalactite cave under the castle, reconnected with 26 m deep castle well. More than 700 years old tree, so-called King´s Matej linden of Bojnice, grows in front of the castle gates. The perimeter of this tree is 12 m. Under this tree, King Matej Corvinus organized big feasts and meetings.
