Warning: surfing is addictive and can lead to considerable thrills and spills! Come and experience surfing and bodyboarding on Sligo’s world-famous surf coast on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Sligo’s surf coast has the most consistent swell - the slow and regular movement of the sea in rolling waves that do not break, in all of Europe and Sligo’s surf coast holds the record for the largest wave surfed in Ireland. Whether you’re a novice or a more experienced wave warrior, come and experience more with our team of professional surf instructors. We will show the novice how to catch their first wave in a few easy steps in a safe, fun environment and help all surfers improve their surfing skills.

There two car parks which are free of charge to use: the seafront car park and the main car park. The seafront car park is often full, especially in summer. There are plenty of spaces in the main car park on Shore Road located two hundred metres from the seafront promenade at Strandhill Beach. If driving, please aim to arrive early (15 minutes before the start time) to find a parking space. Please try to be on time for your surf session otherwise you may keep other surfers waiting. If you are late, the surf lesson may start without you. Our surf session last 2.5 hours from start to finish. All surf sessions are suitable for beginners. You will have your own instructor as a surf guide for the duration of your visit to our surf school. All the necessary surfing equipment (boards, wetsuits, booties) is provided by us. You just need to bring along a towel and swimming gear to wear under your wetsuit. Please bring a towel and warm clothes to change back into after surfing Enjoy!
