Tour Overview

The first day you will stand in Fromelles, visit the museum and the Pheasant Wood cemetery, go to VC Corner Cemetery and the Australian Memorial Park. You will see one of the mine craters of Messines, Hill 60, Polygoon Wood and Tyne Cot Cy. in Passendale. That night you will attend the Last Post at the Menin Gate in Ypres. The second day will put the focus on the Somme, Villers Bretonneux Adelaide Cy, the Memorial, Le Hamel where General Monash will use new tactics and Pozières and its Windmill and Moo Cow Farm. You will end the day at Bullecourt in the museum and the Australian Memorial Park.

Itinerary

Stop 1: 1 hours
You will see the Pheasant Wood and the place where the 250 soldiers were found, stand in the newly built cemetery. You will have a look at the museum.
Stop 2: 0.5 hours
You will visit the park, see the German and Australian lines, no man's land
Stop 3: 0.8 hours
You will stand at the cemetery, it is the only exclusive Australian Cemetery iin France
Stop 4: 0.5 hours
You will see the ridge captures by Australians, New Zealanders, British and Irish troops in June 1917.
Stop 5: 0.8 hours
You will walk on the hill, see the Caterpillar Min Crater and the memorial dedicated to the 1st Australian Tunneling Company.
Stop 6: 0.8 hours
you will see the memorial dedicated to the 5th Australian Division, the New Zealand Memorial. This is also the place where there is a Dawn Service on ANZAC Day.
Stop 7: 1 hours

You will see Ypres, the Cloth Hall and the main square. You will participate at the daily act of remebrance under the Menin Gate. After this service I will bring you back at your hotel

You will spend an hour and a half visiting this new very informative center.

See the school rebuilt with the help of Australian school childeren.

You will stand near that Memorial on the German lines and will see from where the troops commanded by Sir John Monash attacked on 4 July 1918.
Stop 14: 0.5 hours
See the crater created by detonating a underground mine on 1 July 1916. Having Lunch in the area
Stop 15: 2 hours
At Pozières you will see the Memorial dedicated to the 1st Australian Division, the MooCow Farm Memorial and the Wind Mill Memorial. Driving back towards your hotel
