Your Nepali Home in Pokhara
Overview
Namaste. My name is Deu and I live together with my wife Chandra and the three youngest of our four teenage children in a house in the tranquil and green area of Malepatan in Pokhara. Our home is centrally located in Pokhara, public transport and several shops are only a few minutes away on foot. The house itself is situated in a small alley where no traffic can pass and is surrounded by green gardens. From the balcony and rooftop you can have a spectacular view of the Annapurna mountain range. Within 25 minutes walking you can reach Lakeside, the main tourist strip in Pokhara, where you find international restaurants, hotels and travel agencies. We offer three double bedrooms with two single or one double bed. The bathroom is equipped with 24 hours hot shower. We can share our traditional Nepali food in the kitchen or exchange stories of travelling over a cup of tea in the living room. My family and I speak Nepali, English and a few words of German. My children are studying in science and they are very interested in computers and music. My wife loves cooking and making the local wine Raksi. I, myself, am born, raised and currently working in the mountains as a trekking guide. Therefore, the Annapurna and Everest region is also my home. If you have any plans to venture in these areas I am sure to be able to provide some helpful information. We are very much looking forward to have you as our guests!
