The Old Post Office
Overview
We're a semi-retired gay couple, U.S. ex-pats, living in Ireland. This is a spacious three-bedroom, two-bathrooms, two story former post office located in the village of Lusk, conveniently located 20-minutes from Dublin Airport and 30-minutes from Dublin City Center. If you're retired gay man or gay couple contemplating a life outside of the United States, this is the perfect place for you to dip your toes. We left the U.S. in 2017, first for Asia, but have lived in Ireland since 2020. Access to cities on the continent is easy and affordable, and there flights to several major U.S. cities. Built in the 1870s, The Old Post Office has character, as well as more contemporary additions, including a bright summer conservatory that leads out to a large, sunny deck. It also has a bar, and a large kitchen and dining room area.
House Rules
We are looking for mature gay man or couple, preferably retired — or a mature person, gainfully employed but working remotely — who wish to live in Europe, specifically Ireland — for one to three months during the summer. Early winter months, January to March are sometimes available, too. We do not allow overnight guests/strangers. However, if you have a relative or longterm friend who wishes to visit, they can use the other guest bedroom for one to three nights for an extra charge. We would need to be introduced prior to their visit. No parties, no smoking, not even vaping, is allowed. We shall be in the home a majority of the time, but spend long weekends and up to 10-days traveling to the continent during the summer.
