Overview
Casual, country cottage style home with a hint of hip and keen to the sustainable, tucked away in a quiet and secure leafy property, situated just behind Karen Blixen Museum and Marula Manor, with convenient access to Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre, Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the many fun shopping and dining spots available in Karen. One comfortable double room en-suite. A good space for 2 people; there are 2 separate single beds that can be put together to make a double size bed for couples. The room is in the heart of the family environment; part of the Family are 2 boys age 5 and 9 and 3 dogs which are very friendly
House Rules
You are stepping into a family home. Guests should be comfortable with children and dogs. They're all friendly!! We are very happy and used to have guests, it's a chilled environment and we would like you to feel at ease. Anyone staying is welcome to use all the common areas. Enjoy the verandah with a cup of tea or coffee and watch the sunbirds in the garden. I work from home, my studio is just behind the kitchen, so I'm mainly at home. If you'd like to join us for dinner (7pm), it will be a flat fee of 1000ksh per person. We love to cook, pastas, wholesome vegetarian food and beef stews! We have a house help who comes from 9 to 5 Mon-Fri and keeps the house clean and washes clothes, so no need to wash dishes in this house :) If you would like your laundry washed during your stay, a donation of 500ksh per load would help me with the cost of detergent, water, electricity for the washer and a tip for my house help for those staying less than a week. We have a night guard who keeps us safe and an emergency response facility Smoking is allowed outdoors.
