Hey Future Roomie, Coming to Montreal for school? Let’s make sure you’ve got more than just a place to sleep—you deserve a real home base. If you're a student aged 16–27 looking for the perfect mix of comfort, support, and good vibes, welcome to your future homestay in the heart of Villeray! About the Space: We’re a friendly host family (two adults, one 19-year-old son still at home), and we also share our home with another student from China currently finishing his degree at Concordia. We speak both French and English, and we love sharing our culture while learning about yours. Your room? Freshly renovated, fully furnished, super cozy, and totally private. There's space to study, relax, and recharge. You'll also have access to the shared kitchen, dining room, 2 living rooms, bathrooms, and large exterior terrasse for the warmer days - cozily furnished :) Food Option? If you want meals included, it’s an extra $600 CAD per month. We usually cook dinner during the week we tend to eat kind of late around 7-8 pm, and breakfast is self-serve (the fridge is always full!). When we’re away on weekends or doing short trips, you’ll have everything you need to cook for yourself—no stress. Why Stay With Us? We’re not just offering a room—we’re here to support you while you adjust to life in a new city. We’ve hosted international students before and love the experience of sharing cultures and stories. Whether you need help figuring out transit, advice on local spots, or just someone to chat with at dinner, we’ve got your back. Location Perks: We’re just a few-minute walk from Jean-Talon & Castelnau Metro stations, so you’ll be super close to all major campuses, plus cafes, markets, and everything cool in the area. House Rules
No Guests: For the comfort and security of all residents, guests are not permitted in the rented room without prior consent from the homeowner. No Smoking Inside: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the premises. If you are a vaper, you may vape as long as it does not create a noticeable and unpleasant odor. But no cigarettes inside. Outside is ok. No Drugs: The use or possession of illegal drugs is not allowed on the property. Clean After Kitchen Use: It's essential to maintain a clean and organized kitchen for the convenience and respect of all residents. After using the kitchen, please clean up any dishes, appliances, or surfaces you have used. Respect for Common Areas: Maintain the cleanliness and order of common areas such as the living room, bathroom, and shared spaces. Privacy and Security: Respect the privacy and personal space of fellow residents. Ensure that common areas remain secure by locking doors when leaving and entering the house. Payment and Rent: Ensure that rent is paid promptly and according to the agreed-upon terms. Late payments may incur additional fees. Maintenance and Repairs: Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed in a timely manner to the homeowner. Personal Belongings: Keep your personal belongings in your private bedroom or designated areas. Do not use or take items that do not belong to you. Adherence to Local Laws: Comply with all local and federal laws, including those regarding noise, property use, and safety. Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with the homeowner regarding any concerns, questions, or issues related to your stay. Remember that these rules are designed to ensure a harmonious living environment for all residents.
