Stay with a Cambodian family
Overview
Barnabas and Theary want to be the first to welcome you to the temple town of Siem Reap! This lovely couple has worked hard to create a beautiful, village-like setting in their home, despite being located a mere 10-minute walk from downtown. This gorgeous property helps them provide for their 3 children, alongside Barnabas' tuk-tuk and Theary's laundry business. Your room comes with a queen size bed, private bathroom, stocked mini-fridge, A/C, and Internet, as well as access to a lush garden seating area. This homestay is strictly a family-friendly environment.
House Rules
Khmer people tend to wake up early and go to bed early. For this reason, we ask that you return to your room quietly at night, preferably around 10:00pm. The room is a non-smoking room. However, guests are welcome to smoke in the garden. With regards to photography, we ask guests to be mindful of the family's privacy and security. Don't take photos without the consent of the person in the photo; don't take photos of the children unless a parent is in the photo with them. We recognize that Siem Reap has a growing reputation for being a party-town. However, with three children present on the property this homestay is very strict in its identity as a family-friendly environment. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards prostitution, drug use, and drunkenness; failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate eviction with no reimbursement, without exception.
