Small one bedroom with twin bed and desk in a small 4-bedroom 2-bath single-story home, minutes from the UMaine campus, downtown Orono, and downtown Old Town. Located right next to a beautiful bike path leading to campus. Lots of local breweries to try out! 10-15 minutes from Bangor. Off-street parking available. House Rules
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY. NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. NO PETS. I can make exceptions on occasion, but there will be a $20 pet fee. PLEASE RESPECT CHECK-IN WINDOW (3 pm) and check-out (11 am). I am fine with late check-ins, just let me know your ETA. Thanks! QUIET HOURS- 10 pm to 6 am That means no music/audio, loud phone calls, stomping around, slamming doors, or cooking in the kitchen. If your sleep schedule conflicts with this and you have to fry eggs at 3 am, please don't stay here. Keep shared spaces clean, particularly if you are staying for an extended period of time. This means wiping down the stove top and counters after use. Do not dump loose trash into the outside trashcan. I will have to go dumpster diving to pick it all up and put it in the appropriate (specially labeled green) bag for the city to pick up. If it is too hot or too cold, please let me know immediately. I can turn the heat up. I can turn it down. I can close the vent to your room or provide you with extra blankets or a fan or turn up the AC. Just let me know please. I want you to be comfortable. If you need a hairdryer, please ask and I can get it for you. It is shared between rooms. PLEASE ASK before digging through the kitchen cabinets or using kitchen supplies (outside of the ones provided in the guest breakfast nook). Food in the cabinets and fridge belong to residents. Please treat my home, including my kitchen and cookware, with respect. If you don't know how to properly use and wash a cast iron pan, please don't use it. If you don't know how to cook without burning food to the pan, please bring your own cookware. Thank you. Top shelf in fridge is reserved for guests. Feel free to place your perishable foods there. Freezer is usually full (my apologies), do your best to wiggle in your ice packs and frozen goods. Guest breakfast nook is located in the dining room. There is a little sign with up-to-date info about baked goods that might be there or other relevant information. I am typically very happy to share food that I cook with guests. If you happen to like the smell of what I'm cooking, please don't hesitate to ask for some! Finally, if you encounter any issues whatsoever, please reach out immediately, however small it may seem. I cannot address that which I am not aware of. I want your stay to be pleasant and comfortable. Thank you!
