Overview
We live in Wayanad,Kerala,India. We live in an old house ,nearly 75 years old and we have a newly built bungalow adjacent to it,100yards(approx) away to accomodate our guests and for their comfort and privacy. The Dining room is common so that we have interaction with our guests and we enjoy their company during dining!The buildings are in the midst of Coffee plantation nearly 100acres with all other tropical crops,spices and fruits =Paddy,cardomom,pepper,coconut , jackfruits,mango and a variety of plants including Ayurvedic herbal palnts. Ours is hill station about 750mtrs.altitude with heavy and lonng monosoosn that keeps the land fertile green and fresh !We belong to Hindu-Nair community with more than 8generations history of agriculture, religious rituals performed traditionally with our own temple and locals coming abd worshipping along with us and participate in the annual festival during Feb-March acoding to our lunar calender. Wayand where we live is known for its plantations ,forest coverage,wild animals(Elephants,Bisons,Tigers ,deers etc., is an upcoming tourism destnation in Kerala,India!All Tourist spots are accessible easily from our place by road. Our ancestral home nearly 300 mtrs away is of 200years old built with Kerala architectural style and well maintained.
House Rules
Please Keep your footwares outside when you enter the house as followed in India traditionally! We eat by hand and you are most welcome to have your own style!Inviting Strangers to be avoided and if absolutely necessary we must discuss in advance and agree. Feel at home in our house and enjoy your stay along with all of us!
