Seaside and Country living
Overview
My husband and I stay in a seaside village named Pearly Beach. It is situated in the town of Gansbaai, about 180km from the city-centre of Cape Town. My husband and I relocated here after he opted for early retirement. I am a Tour Guide and enjoy meeting people from around the world. We have three children, two of which are medical professionals and the youngest is in her fifth year of studies for a medical degree. Our youngest daughter still lives with us. We have three bedrooms available with a queen-sized bed in each room. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom whereas the other two bedrooms have an adjoining en-suite bathroom to share. The upper floor of our home has an open plan kitchen/dinning room and lounge. On a good day we can see the Southern Right whale frolicking in the ocean while we have breakfast. We have a wrap-around balcony on the upper floor where one can catch a golden suntan and have a traditional South African "braai" (barbeque), or just watch the spectacular sun set upon the ocean. We also enjoy sun-downers on the longest uninterrupted stretch of beach in the Western Cape. Our house is a 3-minute walk to the beach. We love exploring this side of the world and often visit the exquisite Wine Farms or one of the fine restaurants in the countryside nearby.
