Rural With All Basic Comforts
Overview
We live in a village which is about ten kilometres from Dharamshala and twenty kilometres from Mcleodganj, the home of the Dalai Lama. Our home – ORION – is near Yol on the way from Dharamshala to Chamunda Devi Temple (five kilometres away), Gopalpur Zoo and Palampur. We are a family of four people and three dogs – two Cockers and a Pug – all very friendly. Our homestay consists of a sitting room/ lounge/ study, a bedroom, a kitchenette and a bathroom. There is a small garden and a sit out with a view of the Dhauladhar mountain range. The bedroom has an air conditioner with both cooling and heating capability. Additional heaters/ coolers/ bed warmers can be provided. Included is a TV with a dish connection, a fridge, hot and cold water, an electric kettle, a microwave, a gas stove, an electric stove, a washing machine and an iron. Free Wi-Fi is available, if desired. We all speak English and Hindi primarily. We can understand Punjabi, Gujarati and Marathi as well. All of us are fond of music and reading. The suite consists of a bedroom with a double bed, a lounge/ sitting with another bed which can double as a sofa, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. Quite spacious at approximately 1500 square feet.
