Overview
Welcome to Riverside Figs (Homestay, Private room with en-suite bathroom)! We’re Rowan & Mia, a PhD couple and lifelong travellers. We’ve lived in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Guangzhou, London, Edinburgh, and Manchester — always searching for each city’s unique rhythm and warmth. By day, we’re landscape architects and garden designers, children’s art educators, museum curators, and part-time guides. In life, we’re warm, curious, nature-loving, and fond of quiet moments. We love bringing a sense of “home” to every meeting with new people. Riverside Figs is where we share our lifestyle — a space to pause, watch the river flow, and listen to the city’s stories. We hope you feel as comfortable here as you would in an old friend’s home, and leave with your own Manchester memories. Looking forward to meeting you by the riverside.
House Rules
Welcome to our home! We’re delighted to have you stay with us and hope you feel truly at home. To make your visit as comfortable as possible, here are a few details and house rules: You will enjoy a cosy double bedroom just for yourself, along with a fully equipped private bathroom. A microwave is available for warming up meals, and in your room you’ll find a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee to make your stay more relaxing. We kindly ask you to respect the home and care for it as you would your own. Please note that parties or loud gatherings are not permitted, and only registered guests may stay overnight. Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the property. Out of respect for our neighbours, please keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10pm. For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, kindly ensure doors are closed and locked when leaving. Please dispose of rubbish in the bins provided and keep shared areas tidy. Payment is kindly requested at the start of your stay, either in cash upon arrival or by bank transfer. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation.
