On the Halsey L Stop
Overview
We are a strictly non-smoking property. My husband and I own and live in a traditional Brooklyn townhouse in Bushwick. Modern, spacious and cozy apartment, only 2 blocks to the popular L train that will take you to Manhattan in less than 20 minutes. There are 2 rooms available: Garden Alcove: On the ground floor of a classic Brooklyn townhouse. Fully furnished and equipped with high speed internet, WIFI connection, smart TV, central heat and AC, fully equipped kitchen (no stove) and direct access to a private garden. Kitchen includes a crock pot, rice cooker, Nespresso machine and tea kettle. Linen is included. Large, private, windowed room: On the ground floor of a classic Brooklyn townhouse. Fully furnished and equipped with high speed internet, WIFI connection, smart TV, central heat and AC. Refrigerator and microwave provided. Both spaces share a bathroom which is regularly maintained. Full payment is required around time of reservation. We will provide payment method details once a deposit is placed. Cancellations must be made 30 days prior to arrival date for a refund. There will be a 25% cancellation fee.
House Rules
- Garden only accessible for the garden alcove studio. - Absolutely no smoking on the premises. - No candles or incense allowed in the apartment/bedrooms. - Bathroom must be kept clean. - Shoes are to he kept outside of the room on the shoe rack. - No pets shall be harbored. - No corrosive chemical like Drano is allowed. If there is any clogging, please let the landlord know right away. - Garbage area must be kept clean, bags taken out daily to selected yard bins according to city rules and recycling rules. - Large items may be discarded on the street on Monday, Wednesday or Friday after 8 pm. - No cardboard shall be kept in the apartment; pls tie them up and leave them next to the front yard bins. - No music or noise allowed after 8 pm and before 8 am daily, peace is expected at all times. - No bikes are allowed inside the house. They may be locked onto the front gate of the house. - Common areas must be kept free of personal items - No drilling of any kind in walls, bricks, or moldings. - No painting of walls permitted. - Occupants must let landlord know if they are away for more than 10 days - Occupants must let landlord know right away if there is any problem with the house (i.e. leak, bugs, damage, etc.) - There is a carbon monoxide detector and a fire alarm in each room. They are in working condition. - No cooking allowed, only use the alternatives provided. - Please refrain from overloading the electrical outlets and only use extension cords that have a surge protector. - Space heaters are not allowed; please report any temperature issues. - House rules may be modified at any time - As utilities are included, tenant is expected to refrain from overusing it. Upcharge may be applied if utility bill unexpectedly goes up significantly. - Laundromat is around the corner on Wyckoff and Hancock. Garbage and Recycling: - Black bin for all garbage - Blue bin is for plastic bottles, metal and glass - Green is for paper ONLY Failure to respect the house rules automatically terminates the agreement between the parties, and suggestions are welcome.
