La Casa Verde, City of Pyramids
Overview
Our home is situated within a charming and safe, authentic Mayan neighborhood. Everyone is very friendly and street vendors frequently pass by with delicious items for sale. Also, horse-drawn carriages pass by and may be rented as taxis - a lovely way to see the town! Our Canadian/Mexican family is here to be of assistance in any way we can. We all speak English and Spanish fluently. We love Mayan culture and enjoy regular excursions to visit nearby pyramid sites and cenotes - som of them right here in Izamal. Our spacious and comfortable suite is attached to our home in a very quiet and tranquil area of town, only a 10 - 15 minute walk to Izamal center and all visitor highlights. The suite is accessed through a private entrance with a garden sitting area and a space to park a car - all of it secured behind a locked gate. The one large room has ample space for two to four people. There are is one double bed and a second twin bed, with a sitting area. Another twin may be added if required. Comfy mattresses on all beds. There is a modern, clean bathroom with shower. Telelvison with cable can be provided upon request.
