Overview

--------------------------------- About Our Homestay --------------------------------- We run a share house with 7 rooms, living together with our 3-year-old son. The father is 34, the mother is 29, and a female friend in her 30s also lives with us. In the past our house was very lively and full of activities, but due to family circumstances (our child has a disability), the environment has become much calmer and more family-oriented. We do not host as many events as before, but if guests reach out or ask for interaction, we are happy to respond and support as much as we can. Our home offers a quiet, authentic experience of everyday Japanese family life. ------------------------------------------- Experience Life in Osaka ------------------------------------------- This share house is suitable for guests who want to experience Japanese daily life in a relaxed and peaceful environment. Our living room also serves as a small community space for our neighbors. We still open it a few times a week—on a smaller scale than before— so guests may naturally meet local children, seniors, or families. Sometimes we offer light cultural activities such as calligraphy, origami, takoyaki cooking, or casual conversation practice, but these are held occasionally and gently, depending on our family’s capacity. Dinner is available for 15,000 JPY per month (simple homemade meals). A discount is offered if you can help with small household tasks such as cleaning, cooking assistance, dishwashing, or vacuuming. This homestay is ideal for people who prefer a quiet stay while being part of a warm, community-friendly environment. 【About us】 The current residents are 4 adults and 2 child. Most residents go to bed at 9:00 p.m. We would like quiet after 9:00 p.m. ①Mary 29 years old. I started this share house because I did not want to raise a child alone and wanted to raise children with a variety of people. I basically work in my house. I have a calligraphy qualification. If you wish, I can write your name in kanji or write it together with you. I'm not good at cooking and English! I cried when my luggage was stolen while traveling. I have ever been 48 countries. India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Taiwan, South Korea, Mongolia, China, Macau, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Micronesia, Fiji, Tuvalu, Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Tonga, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland, France, Russia, Albania, Vatican, Turkey, Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Qatar, Egypt, Kenya, Tunisia, Morocco, Hawaii, Guam, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Easter Island! ②Hide My husband. 34 years old. He work for a manufacturer. He goes to work at 8:00 a.m. and back home around 17:30 on weekdays. He like cooking. He doesn't talk much, but he's not angry. He's shy. ③Sui Our son, born in June 2022. He already traveled to 16 countries. He doesn't remember any of them. LOL! He was healthy until the age of two, but spent most of 2024 in the hospital. He is now at home but he is medical care and severely disabled child. However, he is gradually recovering through rehabilitation! There are important medical equipment such as a ventilator circuit, which is important to sustain life, a tube for nutrition, and a monitor for oxygen near him. Be carefull to avoid stepping on or tripping over them. Also, his immune system is weak, so please help him by washing your hands and gargling hard! We are happy if you play with him a lot. ④Kuro 31 years old. She is writing a novel in Japan. The content explores the reality of the conflicts and worries of youth. You can buy her novel at Japanese bookstores and our house. Please read it for practicing your Japanese. She and me and my husband are Buddhist. We pray morning and night. ⑤Japanese female ⑥Japanese kids (preschool child) In addition, occasionally 1~4 guests come to stay. 【Preschool】 Want to go sightseeing with adults only? We have a partnership with an English preschool that offers temporary care for ages 1-6. My son also used to go to there on weekdays before. Please contact us in advance as we need to check availability.
