Overview
I live in a lovely, red brick, three levels rehabbed house close to downtown Chicago in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We have 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. I keep the house very clean and organized. You have full access to the house and backyard during the summer. You also have full use of the laundry facility in the lower level. There are three easy ways to get everywhere from my house via the train's Blue Line. I'm close to many amenities and entertainment. 5 min from many sports bars, theaters, bowling, and art galleries. It takes 35-40 min to go downtown. I have been doing homestay since 2003, therefore I know how to provide orientation and resources to you. Your fee includes continental breakfast, which you cook yourself. Your homestay provides high speed wifi, use of the home laundry machines, and space to store your own food in a guest refrigerator & pantry cabinet. Rooms are equipped with desk, lamp, and TV to make your stay / work / studies comfortable. Parking in front of the house requires zoning stickers, which I purchase for you, once you provide the $24 monthly fee that the city charges the community residents. The minimum stay is 90 days. Your monthly fee is paid via Zelle Quickpay five days ahead of your due day each month. Your first monthly fee must be paid 15 days prior to your arrival. Guests pay a $50 cleaning fee each month via Zelle Quickpay. There is a 1 month deposit that is due upon reservation confirmation. 50% of your deposit will be returned if you cancel more than 7 days in advance.
House Rules
l like to respect everybody's privacy and routines, therefore I ask that everyone keep the noise down after 10:30 pm during the week and 12:00 am during the weekends because some guests have to wake up early, and some work non-traditional schedules. I require that the house common areas and bedroom be kept clean and organize. No eating in the bedrooms, except some snacks, to avoid bugs and bedding stains. Guests have use of the laundry facility. Guests provide their own detergent given that this is a personal preference. Guests with cars need to secure zoning parking stickers, which I'm happy to purchase for you once you pay the $24 monthly fee charged by the City of Chicago. There is one complimentary parking space on the side of my garage for a small car. Guests pay a $50 monthly cleaning fee via zelle quickpay. Room payment process is as follows: All payments must be done via Zelle Quickpay or credit card. Payment must be received 3-5 days prior to the arrival date in the reservation. When paying with credit card, a 4% fee will be applies to cover the service charge. Guests pay 1 month deposit, and the first month of rent,, at the time of reservation confirmation. Subsequent rent payments must be done 5 days prior to the due date, in order to accommodate for the bank processing time. The deposit is returned upon departure. Allow 3-5 days for the bank processing time. In the event of property damage, part of the deposit will be used to cover the repair, and the balance will be returned to the guest. So far I have not encountered any issues with deposits. All guests must provide COVID vaccination proof and a negative test results within 48 hrs prior to arrival day. Guests need to provide a monthly COVID negative test result.

This room is in 1st level, next to the bathroom. Single bed with a desk and lamps. Nice closet space and a dresser. Few steps from kitchen, living and dinning room. Has window for natural light.
Large room. King bed. Nice closets & dressers. 1 desk, TV, If two people share this room, the booking needs to be paid separately and each pays their own fee. Room is in upper level. Shares bath with 1 guest.
Large Rm, Queen bed, desk, lamps, TV, 2 dressers, closet, laundry machines, mirrors, continental breakfast, access to home and kitchen, patio in the summer. Sml. fridge on 2nd level.
