Overview
You'll enjoy a warm welcome and a comfortable, friendly family home. I only host guests from overseas that are coming to Edinburgh to study. I’ve been hosting students from all over the world since 2013. It's me, my little brown dog, Tavish, and on occasion my son (who stays between travels round the world). We love to hear about you, your family and your culture, as well as help you get the very best out of your stay whilst in Edinburgh and Scotland. We live a short walk and then bus ride to Edinburgh city centre, and a longer, scenic walk, to Cramond Village where there is an island, beach and river walks. We’re keen to share how to get around (very easy), places of interest (local as well as further afield), there’s so much to do and see in this beautiful city and the rest of Scotland. I've been awarded the 'Good to Go' Scotland certificate. Whilst you can use the kitchen facilities - there are many many fabulous restaurants, pubs and coffee shops with fantastic food (catering for all pockets) - that you might want to try too. House Rules
- I only take overseas visitors intending to study whilst in Edinburgh - No smoking is permitted in the house, however there is an outside seating area guests can use. - Breakfast is self-service and available from 7:00 - 9:00am - All guests are welcome to share the lounge and TV with the host - To give you privacy - guests staying longer than 7 nights will be asked to clean their own room and change their bed clean, sheets and towels will be provided weekly, and cleaning materials are supplied - You're welcome to use the garden seating area during the day. - I will clean all bathrooms weekly - but ask when using a shared bathroom you be mindful of others - to keep it clean and tidy for all. - You can use the washing machine once a week - please do not use the tumble dryer function. There is a cloths line (outside) and clothes horse / washing basket available in your room. - I live in a quiet residential area, whilst you will be given a key, and can come and go as you please, I would ask you be respectful of neighbours if returning after dark. PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS - Payment is expected to be paid a minimum of two weeks in advance of your stay (I will advise the date on booking being made). - Any bank charges taken because of currency exchange to GBP needs to be accounted for in your payment (please make sure it is not deducted from the payment that reaches me) - I will supply my International or UK bank details on booking confirmation - If your stay is long term (over a month) - payment is expected in advance, but we can agree instalments (generally monthly) for the duration of your stay. - If you cancel after your payment is made, I will not be able to refund any monies unless I am able find another student to take up the room you booked.

Whilst a single room it's light and cosy with large cupboard/wardrobe with shelves and access to a private balcony that overlooks the front, and back garden. Access to shared toilet and bathroom on same floor.
