Overview
The home is located only 30 minutes outside the busy city of nairobi in the small village of Gathiga. This is a great home to experience the real kenyan culture but still have the luxury of electricity and running water. We are fun to be with, the house environment is always busy and there is always something to do. Our family consists of Lucy (mom), Duncan (dad), two younger children, house help and of course our lovely volunteers/guests that make our home a great place to stay. We also have two orphanages nearby and most of our guests spend a few days meeting the children if interested. Our orphanages host over 100 children and are part of our big family. Come experience kenya the right way, learn to cook kenyan meals and experience our culture.
House Rules
House is open to use when you are staying with us- you are more than welcome to use the kitchen and we have a balcony for our guests. The living room is open and welcoming and also includes TV and satellite. If you are inviting guests into our home please ask permission first Clean up after yourselves No alcohol consumption outside of your bedroom smoking on the balcony or outside.
