Welcome to Our Homestay near Mt. Fuji We are a warm and welcoming Japanese family living in a beautiful area near Mount Fuji, just a 15-minute walk from Lake Kawaguchi. If you’re looking for a peaceful, culturally rich homestay experience, we’d love to invite you into our home. Meet the Family We’re a Korean-Japanese family of four—two parents working mostly from home, with an energetic grade-schooler and a playful kindergartener. No pets, just lots of heart. My home is… My home is a cozy detached house in a quiet residential area near Lake Kawaguchi, with a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji from the rooms. Guests can use two rooms: a traditional tatami room that sleeps up to 3 people, and a second-floor room that sleeps up to 2 people. There is a small garden with a vegetable patch, a balcony, Wi-Fi, and space for a barbecue. Families with children are very welcome—we even have kids’ bicycles to use. My area is… I live in a peaceful neighborhood where many families with young children live, so evenings are calm and quiet. Within walking distance, you’ll find convenience stores (Lawson and 7-Eleven), a bakery, a bagel shop, a stylish café, and even a sushi restaurant. A famous local specialty, Yoshida Udon, is just 10 minutes away on foot. The lakeside of Kawaguchiko, including Yagisaki Park and Katsuyama Park, is about a 15-minute walk, and there is also a large supermarket nearby. If you enjoy running or walking, there are great nature trails just outside the house. When I host guests… I like to make guests feel at home. I can provide a simple guidebook with local recommendations, and I am happy to give tips on sightseeing around the Fuji Five Lakes area. I speak English and Korean, so international guests can feel comfortable. About the Room You’ll stay in a cozy tatami room on the first floor, with traditional Japanese futon bedding provided. Each morning, futons are folded and stored in a tansu (closet), and laid out again in the evening—offering you a true Japanese lifestyle experience. Breakfast A light or full breakfast is available for an optional fee. Important Notes About Meals： Due to medical needs in our family, we follow a strict ketogenic diet. To protect our child’s health, we kindly ask that guests do not bring or consume processed foods, sweets, fruit, or juice inside the house. House Rules
Our Homestay Rules •No Smoking: Our home is completely non-smoking. This includes all indoor spaces, the garden, and the entrance area. •No Processed Foods or Snacks Inside: To protect our child’s strict medical diet, please do not bring or consume processed foods, sweets, fruits, or sugary drinks inside the house. •Quiet Hours: Please keep noise to a minimum after 10PM, as our young daughter goes to bed early. •Bath Time: Please finish bathing by 12AM. Morning showers are available from 6:00AM. •Use of Facilities: Please use the powder room for brushing teeth and washing your face. •Futon Use: In the morning, fold and store your futon in the closet; take it out again before bed. •Cleanliness: Please help keep shared areas tidy and wash your dishes after meals.
