Friendly multi-lingual family
Overview
Modern large detached comfortable home close to Birmingham City Centre. close to very fast bus links (15mins) to the City Centre. Rooms are bright spacious and have internet access and are furnished. There is also parking available. House is shared with parent and 3 adult children who are sociable and lively. We have had students for many years so we are accustomed to having other people about, we're quite a sociable household. We speak a variety of languages, English, French, Italian, German & Spanish and look for opportunities to expand our vocabulary and share cultural experiences. Our home has 6 bedrooms 3.5 bathrooms a double aspect lounge which looks out onto the back of Victoria park and the allotments. We have a variety of instruments so if you play perhaps we can have a jam session! There is a spacious kitchen and guests have their own cupboard and fridge. We don't have a whole lot of rules in our house but the one which is of great importance to us to that we have to laugh as a family every day and we'd like to share that with you!
House Rules
Paying for your homestay All outstanding payments must be made in full, by bank transfer as cleared funds before the day of arrival. Cash can only be paid, by prior arrangement. The full amount must be paid on the day of arrival. Please keep our home secure by always locking the front door and windows when leaving the house. No outdoor shoes to be worn on carpeted areas including; the stairs, upstairs or in the lounge (bring 2 pairs of slippers if you need to wear something on your feet all the times). You will be charged for cleaning if you walk on the carpets with outdoor shoes. Please do not adjust the heat settings yourself, ask me and I will happily do it for you You can use the kitchen but you will need to clean up, wash your dishes, wipe surfaces and sweep the floor on the day you use the kitchen (No overnight dishes in the sink). You will need to clean your room if you are staying longer than a week. If you don't see the necessity of keeping your living space clean and fresh, this homestay will not suit you. Detergents are available to clean the bathroom after every use in readiness for use by the next person. Bedding is provided but you will need to bring your own towels. Keep noise to a minimum after 11:00 pm, please. Please do not invite strangers into our home; if you would like to invite a friend over just agree it with me in advance No smoking in, or around the house, (this includes the front and back gardens). If you are a smoker, this homestay will not suit you. Please enjoy your stay and treat our house as you would like your own home to be treated! Please respect the privacy of others in the house. If you choose our homestay we will assume that you are happy to follow the house rules

Double room on the ground floor. The room faces south-east and gets the sun in the morning which compliments the warm orange tone of the walls.
Large bay windows in S/W facing single room. Great view of all comings and goings. There is a view of the lake in the adjacent park. It's a great room to wake up in.
