Overview
JUST a 30 mn walk from the iconic Eiffel Tower, in a quiet but lively area of the 15th arrondissement of Paris, close to shops, exhibition center, bars and restaurants. two bedrooms are available : THE ROOM UNDER THE SKY, with a new double bed, which offers a bright and comfortable space, elegantly furnished with a seating area and a desk, occupies the whole 2nd floor of the house granting a complete privacy, with an excellent WIFI connection - ideal for a long term stay for someone working from home or wanting to study in a quiet environment, when not simply rest after a full day wandering throughout the city. The bathroom is private but not ensuite, and has all the amenities you will need to freshen up, including clean towels and toiletries for your convenience. THE ROOM IN THE ATELIER, a single bedroom with a bunk bed, located on the mezzanine floor in the atelier of the house ideal for a sibling, a relative or just friend accompagnying the guest in the room under the sky, but they will share the same bathroom which is ensuite to the room in the atelier. Because of their location, one on the second floor of the house and the other one on the mezzanine of the atelier, these accommodations are not suitable for elderly guests. In both cases, the room fee includes free internet, access to the fully equipped kitchen with essential cookware and cutleries that will fulful your culinary requirements as well as access to the spacious conservatory opening onto the verdant courtyard alley if you do not want to stay in the bedroom. During sunny days, the shady garden is a perfect place for a cup of tea or a drink at the end of the day if not tempted by the pub or the French bistrot across the street. Fresh sheets, towels and a bath gown are provided every week. A hair dryer and a hair straightener are at your disposal as well. Laundry and cleaning is included . The minimum stay is 3 nights. Special rates and conditions are granted for long term stays (3-6-9 months) for those attending business schools (ESCP, Sorbonne, Sciences Po) or completing an intership in culinary programmes (Cordon Bleu, Ferrandi) and for international travelers working from home. I greatly enjoy helping my guests discover the city for a full immersion in French culture and habits according to their areas of interest. For those learning French or willing to improve their knowledge of the language, I provide French lessons (from A2 to C2) according to level and frequency, price to be discusssed and settled directly with me. I am French, retired, speak fluent English, understand Spanish and a little German, but above all, I am an unconditional green and pet lover and make sure to grant a warm and elegant welcome to anyone who enters my home.
House Rules
Your request will be accepted only if you are legal age and if your profile shows a clear picture, similar to your passport's . Once you have contacted the host and received confirmation that the room is available, click on the "book now" button in the notification email you will receive from Homestay. Fill in your details and pay the booking fee online (15% of the total fee but cannot excess 250 €) to secure the reservation. You will then receive a confirmation email with your host’s address and personal details. The host will contact you to confirm reservation and provide banking details in order to settle the total amount of the booking through a bank transfer IBAN within a week of the registration with Homestay. This will secure your booking. Banking fees, if any, are to be borne by the guest. In the meantime, you will be requested to provide - a photocopy of your passport - your flight details with arrival and departure times - a civil liability insurance for stay over 30 days - a copy of the university or business school registration if you are coming for educational purposes A deposit of 300 € in cash will be requested to guarantee the set of keys to the house and will be refunded at the end of the stay except in the event of loss of the keys or other deterioration within the house. CANCELLATION If you want to cancel your reservation, the first thing is to INFORM your host and Homestay.com. Cancellation less than a month before arrival : a forfait of one week will be kept and 50% of the amount corresponding to the remaining period will be reimbursed after deduction of 150 € for banking fees. Cancellation ten days before arrival : there will be no reimbursement. LONG STAY If you have agreed that you stay for a month or less, you must pay the entire room fee at once, one week after you have registered with Homestay. If you book for two months or more, the room fee can be settled on a monthly basis on the 10th of each preceeding month and a guarantee deposit will be requested according to the length of your stay. This deposit will be reimbursed at the time of the final settlement. It will not be refunded if the guest departs earlier, breaks any house rules or if the room fee is not settled on time. In the event of interruption without reasonable notice (1 month), a package corresponding to the month, without the reduction for long stay period, is retained, as well as the following month. Ideally a replacement must be found, otherwise the reservation is due for half the full price of the month without the reduction. Guest and host share 50% of the losses of the forfeit VARIOUS HOUSE RULES 1. -Checking-in is to be done after 3 pm and before 8:00 pm and checking-out is to be done before 11 am. However, exceptions are granted for long distance travellers. Please note that your luggage can be kept at home until the time of your departure. 2. – Make sure to let your host know about your move in and out of the house, especially if you expect to come home after 9 :30 pm. 3. -Do not invite strangers into the house unless invited to do so. 4. - No pets allowed. 4. -No noise, music and loud voices after 9:30 pm (house, garden or property alley) as per French legislation. 5. - Keep the bedroom clean and tidy as well as the shower room and the kitchen which are to be cleaned right after you have used them and not sometime later… 6. -Time and use of the kitchen is to be set with your host, but is not allowed after 9 pm or durind night time. 7. - Any damages you may cause will have to be replaced or refunded and you will be given an invoice for your civil liability insurance which is COMPULSORY. 8. - Please keep your street shoes at the bottom of the stairs. 9. - No food, no drinks except water water, no washing/drying/ironing in the bedroom. 10. - Your host is a non-smoker. Smoking or vaping is not allowed in the bedroom or inside the house. Breaking any of these house rules will command immediate departure. Hosting is not just a business. It is also an art and I will do my best so you enjoy your stay in my home and keep a wonderful memory from your visit in Paris.

Single bedroom located on a mezzanine inside the atelier within the house equipped with a dresser, clothes rack, desk, chair and lamp. Private shower is ensuite. The lower mattress can be used for an additional fee but for a short period only.
