Cozy Bedroom in Shared Apartment
Overview
We have recent opened a new local bakery and have odd work hours but still love to host international travellers to help them experience what makes Canada great and learn more about other cultures while making new friends. Consider staying with us in our cozy condo in central Kelowna. You’ll have your own bedroom and a partially shared bathroom and use of the wonderful amenities in the building which include a gym and rooftop pool and spa, available in the summer. What are you interested in learning while you’re here? Let us know and we’d be happy to help you explore.
House Rules
We keep a quiet and clean house. Come and go as you please but know that our small dog Simon will bark at noises so we will all hear when you arrive. Greg is a baker and works through the night usually starting work at 1am. I sometimes go into the Bakery early at 4am or 5am. Some days I work 9-5. You will often find us at home mid day hanging out before Greg goes to bed at 3pm in the afternoon. The living room space isn’t large so there aren’t good places to gather in the apartment but there is a games room one floor down where you can hang out with friends. We also have a nice space on our own private balcony that you can enjoy. Probably best that you meet up elsewhere with friends. Linens: The bed comes with sheets and bedding. We provide towels for the bathroom as well. You will wash your sheets and towels using the laundry room in the unit. We provide laundry soap. Cleaning: You will keep your bedroom clean & tidy. You will keep your bathroom cleaned. We have our own bathroom but use the shared bathroom occasionally. We provide cleaning products. We have an automatic Roomba vacuum cleaner that runs 3 days a week and you'll need to open your bedroom door on those days to allow it to vacuum your space. Cooking: We will provide you with space in the pantry and in the fridge. You can cook your own food, just be sure to clean up after yourself. We provide dish soap. You may cook in the kitchen between 7am and 8pm. Because we own a bakery, we can provide you with breads, cinnamon buns, scones, or croissants for breakfast as well as coffee you can make at home. However, if you prefer another form of breakfast you can find all sorts of options at the grocery store around the corner. (it's very close!) No smoking in or around the home. Cannabis is legal in Canada but we prefer no cannabis use at the house.
