Come experience Africa with us
Overview
We are a small family consisting of myself (lecturer and research scientist in a National university in Kenya), my husband Justus a consultant Planner, and 3 daughters aged 12, 10 and 4 months. We live in the Nairobi (Kenya's capital) and sometimes retreat to our rural farm where we keep bees and some chicken. My husband and I love to explore, learn new cultures and would like to cultivate a spirit of love, knowledge exchange and sharing among the youth. As part of our endevour to continue to open up to the world, we have travelled quite abit and appreciate the need for family-oriented hosting to maximise on personal experiences. In the same vein, we would love and be happy to host foreign students/young adults (18-28 years), with interests that match our family's interests. We would love to host in students from around the globe who are focused, children-friendly, high-moral value, respectful, humane and sports favourites, with a willingness to learn a new language. The students will be exposed to positive African culture and life skills that enable them fit in this vast and dynamic world. We speak English and Swahili at home as well as other two different local African languages. Regarding other foreign languages, we speak basic German and Arabic. We will offer subsidized accommodation, food and local transport within Kenya, plus guided safe help to visit the country side. In case the student decides to enroll in certified language classes then a separate fee applies.
