Overview
Enjoy easy walking access to historic Carlisle. 10-15 minutes walk from station. Convenient for tourist attractions, nightlife, shops and takeaways. Based on a quiet, cobbled residential street of Victorian terraces. Welcome to Carlisle. We are conveniently placed on a quiet side street off the main A6 route into the city centre. A pleasant 10-15 walk through up the multi-cultural street to the city centre and easy access to all public transport links. This is a self-check in and check out property. This gives you good flexibility on when you arrive. We ask that if you arrive late in the evening you try and keep quiet for the convenience of the other guests and your host sleeping downstairs. Shared entrance is through main door into lobby access via the lock box (yours is numbered NO 1). Pick up your 2-hour parking disk from the rack on the right if arriving earlier than the 6pm to 8am free parking. Bedroom access up relativity steep stairs with hand rails both sides. Shared bathroom immediately at top of stairs (green door). Your room is at the front of the house (terracotta door). The property is very recently refurbished and has new bedding, mattress etc. The room accommodates up to 4 adult guests and has a high-quality kingsize bed. There are bunk beds suitable to accommodate children or adults. A pull out bed stored below. There is a smart TV in the room and there is fibre internet is available throughout the property for watching on your own devices. Your room is lockable. Kettle and tea and coffee welcome tray in your room. Kitchenette of fridge, toaster and microwave, plates, cutlery, selection of glasses, bottle opener etc all available on the landing and shared with the other guest room. We have an ASDA supermarket 07.00-22.00 at the end of the street. Your host Louise, when home, resides on ground floor. When I am away your co-host will be my daughter Laura who lives in an adjacent street.
House Rules
Further information. The house has gas central heating operated on the HIVE system and set to 20-22 degrees between 06.00 and 09.30 and 16.30-22.30 during the winter months 01.10.24- 31.03.25. Different times can be arranged for those working shifts. Top up fan heater is provided. Security. Please remember to lock the door behind you when entering the property. This is achieved by pulling the handle fully up before turning the silver dial. When leaving the property again the door handle has to come fully up, seems to take two stages before locking the door with the key. Please return the keys to the lock box and parking disc to the hall rack when departing. Food pre and reheating. - See photos Kettle and tea and coffee welcome tray in your room.
