Overview
Hello ! Our home is a short walk into Cowes High Street with easy access to the Red Jet terminal, car ferry terminal and local buses into Newport and St Mary's Hospital. There is a foot path and cycle route which takes you past St Mary's Hospital which is peaceful and relaxing approximately a 20 minute bike ride away. There are several good restaurants in Cowes High Street, a quaint and busy local community with a library and plenty of coffee shops all on the sea front. I live with my daughter who is 15 and attends school and I work alongside the PCN for the Isle of Wight. I work from home mainly. We have a cockapoo called Olive who is adorable and a cat who prefers to keep herself to herself and lives outside mostly. We are renting out one spare bedroom, either a single or a double room is available with a shared bathroom, either short or long term, to a female who is respectful and tidy . We enjoy meeting new people and always learn something new from everyone. The single bedroom has a chest of drawers and mirror, lamp and a chair & the double room has more storage space / wardrobe and a king sized bed. We have a converted attic space with a desk and seating area that can be used also. There is WIFI with secure internet access. For those with a bike , there is space in the summer house to store this. We have one parking space but there is plenty of street parking available. The kitchen is fully furnished and equipped. One dedicated shelf in refrigerator and one cabinet shelf for dry foods. There is a washing machine and a dish washer. We are renting out the room on a weekly basis and if you are looking for something longer, or something for a few days only, please contact me as i am happy to do so for the right person. You could be commuting across from Southampton on a regular basis and need a stop gap. You could be looking for a place to buy on the Isle of Wight. You maybe working at the hospital who needs a base. We will share a private lodging agreement agreed by both parties. This will be agreed in advance so that the terms of the stay are clearly agreed by both parties. Any other questions, just ask, we look forward to hearing from you.
House Rules
Your bedroom is yours while you stay with us. The single room includes a single bed, a chest of drawers, lamp, wall mirror . The Double room includes a double bed, a wardrobe, and shelves for clothes. Both rooms can use the attic space, where a desk and comfy seating are provided. Family bathroom on the same level as well as a downstairs toilet. Please tidy both areas after use. There is a washing machine in the kitchen and we use the outside space and a washing line to dry clothes. You will have use of the downstairs kitchen, downstairs loo, family bathroom and your bedroom, as well as the attic space and the garden.. Feel free to use the kitchen but please clean up after yourself. No additional pets are allowed as we have our own. Please do not bring strangers into our home. If you would like to invite a friend over, ask first. Please respect our home, but feel comfortable. Treat it as your own house for the duration of your stay. No food is allowed in the bedrooms. Please keep the noise down after 9pm. No smoking /vaping on premises Please be conscious of recycling any waste you produce. We have recycling bins on the premises for food/ green and general waste. Your host is a non-smoker Smoking is not permitted
