Overview
Artist, ceremonialist and cat mom living creatively in my beautiful canvas of a townhome. I purchased this place because of the wallspace. I'd only completed one full painting when I moved in 15 years ago. Since then I have created hundreds of pieces in this small but mighty space. I create in the winter and perform weddings in the summer. Truthfully, this home in more than I need. So I've created a perfect little spot for guests. Nestled in the Mill Pond area of Richmond Hill, we are steps away from all amenities, including bus lines to the main subway artery; banking; gym; groceries, local foodie finds and lovely green spaces. From students to professionals; those on the road or on sabbatical, this home is a perfect place to focus on creativity, enjoy good coffee and books, or simply one to call home for a time. For now I have one (1) bedroom available: Double bed with desk Black out blinds (made by me) Large closet space Private bathroom Laundry Nespresso Maker Vitamix Dishwasher Den with Large screen TV Function fitness equipment Parking in driveway Back yard in summer Internet Basic cable and Netflix (HDMI cable) With the Den/TV/Fitness area on the first floor, kitchen/living/dining room on the second/bedrooms on the third floor and my bedroom/bathroom on the fourth floor, there is plenty of nooks to tuck into; giving the illusion of a much larger space than the square footage (it's 1800 square feet over four floors). Truthfully, we could have three adults here and never really see each other if we wanted to!
House Rules
For those staying longer than 1-2 days, we can discuss the kitchen being used. I am absolutely happy to have folks use the kitchen as long as everything is used with care and returned just as it was found. I am particular about a few things, and beyond that, happy cooking :) I provide a light breakfast which is as follows: nespresso and tea (cream/milk/sugar/honey) grass fed yogurt maple syrup homemade granola seasonal hand fruit Door codes are changed with each new guest Keys left at common area in case we need to jockey cars Quiet after 10pm Short term folks-no suprise guests Long term folks-guests, again, not an issue and it's just a conversation to have! 420 friendly. Smoke on porch in the summer, with the window open in winter I do ask that common areas stay clean; long term folks, a cleaning person is included in the monthly fee. No outside pets; I would LOVE to have them all, and that's not fair to my current cats Pepita and Prim.
