You need to know that the culture of Tomia Island is a culture that originated from the Kingdom/Sultanate of Buton (Baubau) which has a combination of several cultures, but the most influential in Buton culture is a culture introduced by Mongols and Javanese people who have come and lived on Buton Island (Baubau) in the kingdom. You can see this through a number of aspects such as the model and style of dress that are the same as the traditional Mongolian clothes. While from the cultural aspect of the community Tomia Island is still influenced by customs and cultures originating from ancient Java (Hindi-Sanskrit), such as the local language used and local wisdom applied.
