A Little Shack, A Food Forest
Overview
The Shack is a cosy little room attached to a shed, right outside our house. It has its own entrance and a private bathroom and bedroom, but our house is only 10 meters away with the entrances facing each other. There is a kitchenette with an electric frypan and a hotplate. Or, start up the bbq in our outdoor kitchen hut. Try cooking over an open fire if you're keen. All of the areas, except for The Shack itself, are shared by our family. Feel free to have an outdoor fire under the stars, or go out for a night walk to see the wildlife. We're happy to join you in a walk down by the creek and to share our attempts at self sufficiency. The property is rural and the highlight is in the outdoor areas. It might not suit if you're just after a room to sleep in, and the property might be a bit on the wild side for city dwellers. That's part of the charm. :)
House Rules
Please check with us for stays longer than a week. We are happy to host pickers or students and may be able to arrange initial transport from Cygnet or Woodbridge. Smoking only outside. Please keep all farm gates closed. We cannot have outdoor fires during fire bans. Please give everything a general tidy up after your stay. No parties or late nights. This is a hobby farm in a quiet area - except for the roosters and other animal noises. :)
