Description
Every November 8th, La Paz comes alive with one of the most spiritual and surprising traditions in the Andes — The Day of the Ñatitas.
Join us on this unique walk through faith, death, and gratitude, where skulls are not a symbol of fear, but of protection and love.
We’ll start our experience at the Red Cable Car Station and fly over the chaotic beauty of La Paz. After landing near the cemetery, we’ll walk past colorful murals that show the local connection between life and death.
Before entering, we’ll buy flowers, coca leaves, or cigarettes — small offerings to thank the Ñatitas for their blessings.
Inside the cemetery, you’ll witness a powerful celebration full of music, devotion, and decorated skulls covered with flowers, hats, and even sunglasses.
You’ll also meet a local who will introduce you to her own Ñatita, a spiritual guardian she keeps with respect and love.
✨ Why you’ll love this walk:
It’s one of the most authentic and spiritual experiences in Bolivia.
You’ll understand the deep connection Bolivians have with life, death, and ancestors.
It’s guided by locals who celebrate and respect the tradition.
You’ll feel the magic of a real Andean-Catholic fusion you won’t see anywhere else.
